I'm happy for the MC to keep stability in the team at the moment. We have a situation where players have to smash the door down to get into the team. That's a good place to be.
Injuries will unfortunately occur and opportunities will present.

Agreed. Apprehensively.

Totally Agree.

Love the competition for spots

Kennedy played 3 good reserves games in a row, in fact, named BOG in possibly all 3, before he broke into the team due to injury to Newman.
It was bad luck for Jack Silvagni, Dow and Fisher they were injured at the time. Now its their turn to bang the door down.

Makes me sick to think of it.

Have to make every game count moving forward.

I'm sure players see finals as a possibility and fear no opposition.

Blues must win against Hawks and all the Hawks propaganda played out in the media.

Then Lions dispose of Druggies tonight, GWS touch up Suns and we are back in the 8.
Players know that. Good motivator to get there today, and hold on for dear life for remaining 8 games

This is yet another statement game for us.

I expect Ed to get reamed as a tagger.

...by the umpires, I guess.

Ed doesn't turn his back against the ball and have his face on his opponent.

If it means Cripps is let loose to make a huge impact, then go ahead umps, make my day.

While Moore was as good as useless last week, I can understand the desire to give new Ins more than just one game.

Personally I'm not terribly confident Moore is going to get a lot of the ball (for a tall) or have many magic touches. But perhaps he will play a decoy, negative role.

When I was still playing we had a bloke on our team we called decoy. He thought it was a compliment.

But these aren't the days, these days.

Someone said Sicily. Surely he will pay Moore limited respect and attention.

The only useful role for Moore is as a sacrificial lamb inside the 50m arc.

See pack, crash pack. Work Frawley over - ribs, kidneys, ovaries. Don't touch the footy.

If Frawley can't raise his arms above his head, Ceglar & McEvoy will have to play longer rotations and defend deeper than Clarko would like and it'll open up our forward line from 30-60m.

Harry & Levi give us a massive edge over their small defenders.

Very nervous about this, I feel like a win today is the only thing that will make me happy for the next few days.

I reckon we’re due for a good game. The past 2 weeks I actually think we’ve played pretty poorly aside from the first quarter of each game, despite a win and a loss to the top team by kick after the siren.

Against Port I felt they outworked us, got more numbers to the contest and generally controlled the majority of the game. After the free flowing first quarter, they took away our space and stifled our attacking game, forcing us to kick long to contests. Against North our first quarter was brilliant and then it felt like they brought us down to their level. The next 3 quarters were almost unwatchable.

So far this season I feel the only games we have played really well were R3 against Geelong and R6 against the dogs. Every third game, today we will click!

Fingers crossed.

If we bring the intensity, pressure and tackling for 4 quarters, I think we get the points. Thought we got that right in the first quarter last week but dropped off in the second quarter and that was enough to let North back in. If we get a lead, we need to keep the foot on the gas this week.

Crippa is due for a big one. Hope he can deliver. A big Cripps game with strong performances from Setterfield and Kennedy (as we’ve seen the last few weeks) will go a long way to getting the result.
