Anthony Hudson talked us up way to early after a goal.

Shit way to lose a game...

Just like the Melbourne game, lack of composure in the last minute(s) cost us dearly... oh what could've been

I don't believe they did that, a lack of poise and maturity and the game was ours. That last 40 seconds should have been milked. Gibbo should have had other options rather than a pack.

Port realistically should have been ahead on account of missing so many sitters in the last quarter.
It’s a good game for the players to be a part of and learn from. Composure in the last 1-2 mins should have won us the game.

Fantastic to see the players have so much belief and mix it with the top of the ladder team.

That was a bit shit in the end but given the weirdness of this season and 2020 I'll get over it.

Port should have won by about 3 goals, they missed heaps of easy shots (of course they kick the one that matters).

Crash back down to earth for Pittonet. He’s been amazing but thought he was useless today while his opponent had 21 touches

Overall I can't fault our effort. Apart from Harry that is, he shouldn't get out marked the way he was in the last quarter.

Umpires had an influence, if people can't see that it's not my concern.

I thought Weitering, Gibbons, Walsh and Plowman were our best.

The future is bright, no excuses not to play finals (plural).

Let's get to Perth where we have great support!

Can’t fault them, gave their all, both teams made plenty of mistakes. we have won and lost a few close games.

But FFS, the amount of kicks after the siren to lose a game, sick of it...

Ladhams or whatever his name is was a big reason they got off to a flyer. Thought Pit was comprehensively beaten from start to finish. Saw numerous marking contests that he needed to compete in and he just stood and watched like he was waiting for the crumbs. I want to see what TDK can do

Pros:

Plowman, Gibbons and Walsh were terrific.
Harry our most dangerous forward. But some costly mistakes.
McGovern's first half. Cripps' second half.

Cons:

Thought we'd won it when Cuningham's kick was heading towards the goal.
With ball in hand, and 40 seconds to go, shouldn't have lost. I don't know if Harry was spooked by the umps penalising him every time he contested, but had to bring that ball to ground and get it over the line. 5-6 times we rebounded and the opposition player took clean marks from those kicks to contests.
Struggle for pace in the midfield, when we can't win the ball.
Not enough tackling pressure, especially in our forward line.
Jones tried hard, but couldn't shut Dixon down.
Kennedy looked nervous with the ball in hand today.

We just need to learn to keep possession to ice a game. They’re all scared to make a mistake so they take the easy way out and kick long down the line to a contest. At least then if there’s a turnover it doesn’t look like it’s their fault. It’s gutless footy

That is such a crucial loss. We're a bonfide side now so to lose that hurts. Might only be a game or 2 that separates top 4 from missing the 8 so losing that hurts us alot.

Can't believe i just said that about Carlton. We are matching everyone though hence it stings alot more.
