Very tough way to lose. Gray was the only one who could kick that.

Didn’t feel robbed despite the tough finish. They should have finished us late with Marshall missing from 5 metres and Dixon from 15 metres, both directly in front. We just needed to do more attacking in the last 7-8 minutes - it was all one way traffic after the Newnes goal.

Shows we can match it with the best. Just need to work on the composure but that will come.

The big test is next Saturday. A team on the ropes who we’re much better than. Will go in as favourites s Need to step on their throats.

That really sucked.
Just lack some composure in the final minute.
Port missed some easy goals late so really should have been in front earlier.
Rotten way to lose, Gibbons should have taken some time off the clock.
We are not far off.
Any wonder I have high blood pressure.

Overall I can't fault our effort. Apart from Harry that is, he shouldn't get out marked the way he was in the last quarter.

Umpires had an influence, if people can't see that it's not my concern.

I thought Weitering, Gibbons, Walsh and Plowman were our best.

The future is bright, no excuses not to play finals (plural).

Let's get to Perth where we have great support!

Yep or gives away a stupid free kick.

I reckon he gets a terrible run with the umps. I didn't think any of the frees paid against him today were there. Would have loved our key defenders to be rewarded like Port's were today.

Not enough tackling pressure, especially in our forward line.

Was yelling at the TV with a minute or two left, do not kick it to a contest, milk the clock.

Guess I wasn't yelling loud enough.

I don't believe they did that, a lack of poise and maturity and the game was ours. That last 40 seconds should have been milked. Gibbo should have had other options rather than a pack.

That is exactly how I define it. No composure when needed. Shit themselves and coughed up a game they had in their hands with 50 seconds to go. But also had chances to put it away earlier but didn't.

Considering that Port did FIFO for this match I was hoping we might finish stronger however it wasn't the case.

For some reason my AFL app stream on my iPad was ~10 minutes behind.

Saw the final score flash up on my phone... knew we'd blown it and was able to calm myself knowing what was gonna happen...

Not sure I could have handled it otherwise. @#$%&!.

Driving with my wife. I had to turn the radio off in the last, scared I'd have an accident. Turned radio back on when I knew game was over. I'm getting sick of close games, I'm too old for this.

The usual couple of umpire goals to them.

I was convinced we would win when we had possession with 41sec to go. How can you not find a team mate by foot when it comes down to a game of 'keepings off' FFS.

Those last 2 minutes need to be titled how to totally stuff it up.

Our effort was faultless but flower our decision making and composure are nowhere near good enough.

Feel for Plow. Thought he destroyed Gray only for him to bob up and kick the winning. Thought Cripps was average at best to 3 quarter time, but was super in the last.
Weiters is a gun. Our 3 tall forwards we got the good, the bad and the ugly from each of them. They need to stay in the game more.
Gibbo is fantastic. Just a pure footballer. Nothing flash about him but mostly does the right thing. SPS is pure class with ball in hand. We need him to be in more dangerous positions.

Of course today's efforts will count for nought if we don't care of a North team that is on its knees.

I don't think i've been so disappointed in ages. I think it's because we are now a good side thus hurts our chances. The performance will please me later in the week in that again we have shown we can match it with the very best, just not now as it's a costly loss. If we were 17th I wouldn't have cared so much. Needed composure at the end. Suppose that's part of the journey, the maturing process as a side.

Wonder how this loss and shit losses like against Melbourne will hurt us at the business end of the year.
