Very sad. One of my faves as a kid. Another of the SA army who helped secure my love for Carlton.

Tragic if true.

Loved the goal he kicked in the last quarter of the 87 GF

Haven't seen anything official yet, but as we know he's been battling cancer for a while.

Very sad news. One of my first favourite players. I wore 17 for my (not very good) junior footy career so always had an affinity to Naley. RIP

A real gun very quick skilled and tough
Adept around goal small in stature big in heart
Remember in the 87 GF hitting the afterburners and kicking a major
RIP Nails

Yes that goal sort of blew the game open didn't it, sort of felt we were home then IIRC.

So sad.

Very sad, hits home when your the same age.

As Frank mentioned his goal in the last quarter of the 87 Grand Final leaving those Hawthorn players in his wake was the moment that we knew we were home.

Condolences to his family.

Sometimes forgotten member of the best small brigade ever.

Should not be.
