That should be enough reason.
As usual it depends on the start. We lost to Melb by one lousy point after coming from behind. We beat Richmond for three quarters and lost the game.
We lost to StK by less than the margin they jumped us by.
So what?
So if he had played 4 quarters in every game we would have beaten Melbourne and had a far better percentage than we now have even if we still lost to Richmond and StK. We could be somewhere between 3rd and say 6th.
What more incentive do the boys need to come out fast and hard and play the entire game? They could easily be playing finals. Isn't that what they want?
English is emerging. He was one of their batter players in the game we lost to them last year. Bont is Bont. Bruce will have it cut out to repeat last week.
Teague has to start knowing every team will tag Cripps and Doc. Plan for it NOW, not at three quarter time next week. Put Cripps int he forward fifty and Jack Silvagni in the middle to start the game. Give Willo the job of sweeping and put Doc on the wing.
Tell McKay to stay deep and run at the footy and tell Gov and Levi to stay out of each other's way.
Tell SPS, Setterfiield and Cunningham thy have to get 25 possessions each.
Tell them something but tell them to play 4 quarters.
Turn up with intensity and aggression for 4 quarters, we’re every chance to win it. If we don’t turn up for 4 quarters, we can pretty much forget about getting the result.
Send Ed to Macrae at the first bounce. He contributes more with a defined role. Also might help to create some level of aggression if all 22 players know from now who we’ll be targeting on Sunday.
If anyone goes to Cripps and Doc, the other 20 blokes need to make that player’s life hell for the game. Bump into him. Put a bit extra into the tackles. Don’t let their taggers have it easy like last week.
