Only 5 of our 22 were on the list when Ratts coached here.

We just don’t have enough depth in the midfield

I thought our effort was fine

More concerned about the state of our list

Crying out for some of our younger players to mature into good footballers

To be fair (and check my posting history for thoughts on marC) the ump specifically called him out. If it's the one I'm thinking of. But he gave shit away all night so I might thinking about another one. Because he's a @#$%&! sook. Maybe someone said something nasty about his misso again

Marc with a C had a job on Brad Hill and did it very well.

Didn’t think he was that bad. Even if he was, he was pretty influential in us winning last week. We just gonna forget about that?

Our tall forwards gave us nothing. Our mids were incredibly poor too. Very worrying the number of times the opposition get 30+ points in front

Casboult was held and shepherded off the ball all night. Not his fault and very frustrated at the end of the night. McGovern should not be getting games. McKay, I’ll give the benefit of the doubt right now as he hasn’t had the continuity.

How about Martin running back with the flight of the ball in the last quarter? That's commitment.
the 3 of them work at Geelong. Thar because we were actually committed and moved the ball into the 50 quickly. This week they chose not to be committed.

What was up with all the bumping instead of tackling???
It worked once when Martin bumped the ball free but it looked like it was intentional b/c it happened so often.
What up with that?

BV, generally love your analysis. And I'll look at it again tomorrow (without my blinkers) but I'm not a fan of 250 game leaders sooking to the umpires, giving away 50s and soft undisciplined frees because he's frustrated.

To be fair the umpire was telling him not to try and get in front otherwise he would get another 50.

This. Not our worst by a long way. It's just that (in my opinion) he doesn't work hard enough when the opposition has the ball.

Dissapointing... we should have lost by 6-8 goals.

I have this theory about our talls ..... they play better outdoors. At Marvel I'd only play 1 or 2.

Too many play with no intent when they’re down. Pittonet had a shocker but laid 5 tackles. Half the team had 1 tackle or less.

We need to get some some hard players into this side.

Too many of our players had a poor night. Cripps preferred to focus on Steele and have a wrestle instead of playing the game. Willo a shocker.
Harry served up what I expected and Pittonet got a bath. 13 to 8 centre clearances killed us and Marshall getting 7 clearances alone showed his ability.
Cuningham came back to earth, Setterfield was pretty good and Martin surprises with his strength and courage for such a lightly built player.
The biggest problem with Doc playing up the ground was Simmo doing the kick ins. He offers nothing bringing the ball back into play.

The coaches need to regroup. It was obvious Geary was going to Doc and Steele was going to Cripps and we didn't have a decent plan to counter it.

Development is the key. We don't do that very well. Russell must shake his head with the weakness he sees.
