I hate Essendon*

I hate St Kilda

Win against both and Teague gets another year extension. :-)

I'm hoping St.K aren't as good as some say they are. Bit of a no name side.

If we win tonight, I may consider the possibility that some time in the future, it might be time to start believing

Match ups will be interesting. Jones or Weitering have to go to Membrey. Plenty of teams put smaller defenders on him and he smashes them in the air. Last time we put Plowman on him and he took 10 marks and kicked 3. We were lucky he missed another couple of sitters. Plowman can possibly take Marsh and Jones can take King. They may also try to stretch us with Battle but I'd be happy to risk that one.

I suspect Geary will play a defensive role on Doc which will also work against them. With Doc playing as a 7th defender, it creates more congestion in their front half if they play a 7th forward. It will be interesting to see if we push another player back and try to free up Docherty or we just ride it out. You'd think Steele will go to Cripps.
In their wins this years they've won the hitouts and the clearances. In their losses they've lost both. Ryder and Marshall smashed Tim English at Marvel 49 hitouts to 12 and the Saints won by 39 points. Pittonet has to give us first use.

The other interesting aspect is their accuracy at Marvel this year. 15.3 and 14.4 so they obviously get a lot of shots out the back and in close. Butler and Billings have kicked 10 goals between them in their 2 wins.
It will be interesting to see what Teague does to keep a deep defender.

Apparently Fisher could be a late out.

This game is a great opportunity for our boys and I am genuinely excited to see how we will go. C'mon the blues!
