A win tomorrow would see us go 3-2 wins-losses.

From my research, Round 11 2016, was the last time we had a positive win loss record. 2013 the last time before that.

It’s been a long 7 (or 20) years for this club. Very bloody long.

We’d won 5 flags in the first 20 years of the 20th Century.

Agree,

The loose interceptors haven't done so well...

Big shout out to Harry Taylor and Michael Hurley

Go Blues

It's funny seeing people say Philp should retain his place and Kennedy should come in etc. The changes this week were a no brainer.

And don't I count.

I was pushing for champ Simmo to have a break and give Stocker a run.

Nice rewording of my previous post.
You're welcome.

We beat them last year with Levi playing FB.
It was one of the great games of the year.
They are a much improved side and we have got our back six pretty stable for the moment.
Plus we will have Harry in and Levi back in the front half.
If the tall forwards spread like they did against Geelong, if they get decent delivery (Cunningham, I'm looking at you who mucked up two easy passes to a leading fwd last week) and if Plowman does a half decent job on Butler, this should be a great game of footy. Also, we need someone who can run with Hill. That is a big issue. He has a huge tank and is super fast. Martin could do it and it would also force Hill to be more accountable.
I think we can win but I have tipped StK.
Those waiting for a three or four goal win to calm the nerves will have to wait.
Either way by less than two kicks.

Uh - oh....
This is how it starts. A bit of hope here, some encouragement by so called 'friends', a whisper to be more optimistic.
Then BANG!!
And it's mick Malthouse all over again...

I’m predicting a 3-4 goal win.
Just so that I can say in the post-game thread ‘I predicted this’
Enjoy the game everyone.
GO BLUES!

I know. Why would posters offer suggestions and thoughts on selection when you knew it already. I look forward to your next post where you predict last nights Powerball numbers.

It’s good that we have some other mature options to throw in there when someone isn’t firing as well. Cuningham was awesome last week, Martin the week before and Setterfield is building.

Interesting to see Ed’s comments that maybe the AFL changed it to Marvel after the criticism of the state of the game during the week. I have to say I did find the game against the scum to be very hard to watch. So many fumbles, dropped marks and turnovers

I've also seen a few people saying Newnes should be dropped. While he isn't getting a lot of touches he does seem to be a very safe handler if the football when he gets it, and makes good decisions, so I am happy with him right now. Its a far cry from recent years when most players in the team could be relied on to hand the ball over to the other team with tremendous regularity.
