StKilda CEO is friends with AFL CEO who also just happens to be a StKilda supporter. Wonder how these things work for the better of some teams?
StKIlda will have played 1 game outside of Marvel Stadium at the end of Round 7. The one game they played at the MCG against Collingwood they were embarrassed....... fLowering CORRUPT CORP.
Don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining!!!!!!
Hope we smash them - but my bet is we will end up with 25 vs 22 on the night!!!!!!
Agree SB very frustrating. Still think we can beat them but we’ve lost our biggest advantage in my view.
This is probably not for a game thread but it raises an issue with off field leadership. President and CEO need to step up behind the scenes to stop us getting pushed around. It happened with the Geelong game where we were scheduled for Marvel and then sent down to Geelong for the third time in a row against that mob. Love that we stuck it to them and the AFL by winning but it’s not playing the percentages. Happens again with this game only weeks later and no logical explanation from the AFL as to why it’s being moved to Marvel. Notice the AFL aren’t keen to push around Collingwood, Hawthorn and Richmond because Eddie, Kennett, Balme etc will give them grief. Even Port with Koch and Dogs with Gordon are pushing back against the AFL. We’re currently asking for nothing (so we get nothing) and accepting AFL decisions that directly disadvantage us. I’m not calling for a public sook up. I’m calling for our CEO and President to approach the AFL behind the scenes and strongly express their disappointment and frustration. Whatever they did after the Geelong rescheduling obviously wasn’t enough.
Anyway, back to the game, let’s stick it up the Saints and the AFL just like we did to Geelong.
