Far out............ This entire season just feels like a pre-season, its hard to take it seriousely or even be interested!

You can pencil this game for a 6 goal Loss.... Saints at Marvel with only 5 days to prepare, they will run us off our feet...no chance Blues :(

Fox Footy has Carlton at $1.57 and Aints at $2.40, the AFL site has the odds the other way around :?: :?:
I don't know what to believe

Maybe check the bookies rather than media sites. We’re outsiders

They looked pretty slick on the fast marvel deck last week. Would have preferred to take them on at the G but even so I reckon we've got their measure of we play to our potential. Need to make the most of our opportunities. Kick straight(er) and we're good things. Go Blues

One thing is for sure, there will be plenty of HTB frees paid. If Teague isn't all over this before the game, he's got his head up his fundamental orifice.
Cripps is one of the players that holds it until he gets an option.
At least both teams are prepared to run the footy so it won't actually be a guinea pig game for the umpires, who are largely responsible for the shit footy for not applying the rules regarding holding, paying marks on 8 metre kicks, allowing players to carry or paddle the footy over the line on purpose, allowing a third player to block someone running and jumping for a mark. I could go on. but I needed a full stop.

Not anymore... the game was moved to Marvel and to Thursday night due to Law changes in QLD. Vic Clubs can't enter QLD anymore

A good challenge for the coaches this week. St Kilda wont let us play on our own terms as we have a past couple of games.
Pushing the wingman back to pick up Docherty's man has allowed Sam dictate play from defence. Without being there to look, I'd suggest a half forward (Murphy of Gibbons) is pushing up to play wing. I wouldn't be surprised to see St Kilda drag their wingman forward and make Doc accountable.
The advantage will be our forwards will have a one on one scenario which they haven't had for a couple of weeks. (If we can move the ball quick enough)
Once again efficiency in front of goal will be a key. We nearly blew it on the weekend with poor conversion. We were the dominant team yet we were fortunate to get over the line in the end.

Watching the replay, was surprised the Scum didn’t try harder to counter Doc happily doing as he pleased. No doubt the Saints will put more work into him.

Russell seemed pretty positive about Harry and Fisher being right for this game.

I suspect it will be Harry and Fish (which is good) but very pleased to read this about Kennedy (from Reserves report)

"The best thing about his (Kennedy's) game at the moment is his break and his run: it’s improved out of sight over the last 12 months. His ability to now make the ground big and get on the end of it with a couple of goals has been really good."

Would have to be a better option than Philp at this stage of development.

Its harry for jsos and then just a question of Fisher for Philp

If Gresham and Jones are out, that's 2 of their best 6 players

I thought he was the better option for the Essendon* game as well.

This game will be a big mental challenge for the boys more than anything else. We are really only a couple of games into the season , as round one was so long ago now . We have heard from the club and the players themselves that they have never been fitter , so they should be ready to go . We just need the boys to be mentally switched on ( all game )after a couple of close wins , and guys like Cunners , SPS ect to keep playing well and we can win this . Cannot overstate the importance of having Doc back , his leadership and decision making has been seriously missed . Having him back there I believe has also given Weiters and Jonesy along with the other backmen so much more confidence. It will take a complete team effort but we can do it .

Yes I think a lot of us have seen too many times our boys get comfortable with themselves after a win or two and drop off the intensity.

Time will tell this time around...

Yeah, but over the past few years how many of them have been 18-21 year olds. The kids are becoming senior players and we’ve added the experience of Doc, Eddie and Jack Martin. The tide is turning

Jack Martin should hopefully be better under the roof. He seemed to really struggle with the slippery conditions last week.
