They'll just give the suns the 4 points as part of the assistance package they got.

And our first round draft pick

More than likely, the Suns will stay back after the Geelong game and play us in Melb

That will be the logical thing to do.
Therefore, not a chance in hell it'll pan out that way.

That would be ideal..... a nice cold Melbourne night would be an added bonus

If this article is right, we may not be playing on July 18

https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-20 ... b493c6aa42

One “highly likely” solution – according to a source with direct knowledge of plans – will see the Suns take on Geelong, stay in Melbourne to face Hawthorn, and then spend a fortnight in Sydney to play the Swans and Giants.

There is also a chance the Suns could go directly to Sydney after this weekend and have its Hawthorn match rescheduled.

A delayed schedule to play gold coast to give them time to be shit again isn't such a bad thing.

I think they’ll be shit again by the time we’re supposed to play them anyway. They started this way a couple of years ago and then lost 13 in a row. I’m sure they’re better now but they’re a young team that have come out of the blocks playing every game at home against teams staying in a hub away from home. The bubble will burst soon

This game will be played in Vic, WA or NT, depending on how the AFL can juggle the fixture. I am guessing Vic. After that they go to Adelaide or WA for the 14 days so they are allowed back into Qld.

Suns can't go to SA or WA as both those teams were in the QLD hub so Suns will most likely go through NSW and play GWS & Swans

If true - Gold Coast certainty the team being looked after very, very well by the AFL. No surprises and the COVID excuse just works for them.

After 7 rounds we will have travelled the exact same amount of KM’s as Gold Coast will have. How are they any more looked after than us?

There are 2 teams in Qld, 10 in Vic.
our travel should be 20-30% of theirs

But they can play other teams there while they quarantine 14 days before returning to Qld.
The NSW option looks easier to manage iin the short term but They should try and play the Vic teams asap and then use NSW as their route back.

Don't think we are play the GC in Qld. Looks like we are going to a NSW hub. Hope we play Sydney next week before we go so we play them here. Otherwise we play them there.

EDIT: Looks like were are heading to Noosa and playing our games in Qld and NSW.
