You bloody beauty. Could barely watch at the end. We completely ran out of legs but doesn’t matter because we got the 4 points. Against quality opposition. At GMHBA stadium. No one wins there. Such a gutsy win. This is something we can build on going forward.

Eddie phenomenal - goals, goal assists and great leadership. Midfield cracked in all day - Crippa, Ed and Martin. Pitto a man mountain.

Forward line clicked very well for 3 quarters. Was great to see.

Go blues

So glad we won .... so glad no injuries
I think poise was mentioned in one of the treads last week. We needed that in spades in the final quarter.
McKay ..... the miss and the turnover cost 2 goals then they got a sniff
Should be 2 and 1

It was the reflection game. Cats were us, slow start, injuries early, big comeback, lose by less than a goal.

Nice to get a win but seriously the catters gifted us the win.

Still, we have done that often enough in the past.

And I agree with the Harry and TDK switch. Even in the dressing room singing the club song he didn't seem to be switched on.

Eddie! How did we ever let him leave?

Great win. Just happy we played with endeavour and determination.
Team effort and the work the boys did as a team was amazing tonight.
Plenty of good points but I thought Gibbons, Betts, Pittonet, Jack Martin in particular were fantastic.
Casboult is just a champ these days. Another great game!!
Solid games form Setters, Willo, McGov and Murphy tonight as well.
Will learn from the last quarter...

Who says you have to play four quarters?

And sucked in, Chris Scott.

My mother-in-law's partner is a mad Geelong fan and tomorrow we're having a family get-together. Thank you, Carlton!

Nearly 30 years ago to the day - 23rd June 1990, Carlton pulled off a miracle win against Geelong, coming from 48 points down in the second quarter, and just after the full time siren Mrs Agro, gave birth to our beautiful Little Miss Agro.

30 years on Little Miss Agro was quite close to the action on the ground at Kardinia Park to witness another miracle Carlton win, visibly disappointed I’m pretty sure she gave a little internal fist pump when the siren went.

I’ll give her a consoling hug when she gets home around 1am.

Great win, just shows you how much harder it is to come from behind as well.

The class of betts and Martin is very telling. Having Doch back too.

Yep. Might get 5 possessions in a game and kick 5 goals. Or give away 5 frees. Nothing in between.

Jack Martin is absolute silk. In fact, silk would be happy to be called Jack Martin.

We need to work on Pittonet's tank so he can go four quarters.

Eddie Betts always has been, still is, and will remain an absolute champion of the game and of our club. Such a shame we won't get to see him play this year... man it would have been great to hear the Carlton crowd when he's up and about. I sure hope our small forwards are watching how he goes about it. Just out-and-out quality.

Pittonet looks a decent ruck . Has a presence about him
Martin in the middle was a big factor
Gibbons continues to impress

Betts was very good tonight

The trick is to back it up whenever that will be

When was the last time our forward line was so effective for 3 qrts. Players taking easy marks on the lead, creating space and our midfield hitting targets. That pass from Eddie to Murphy on the left was brilliant. Martins poise and skill to hit up targets. Lifting the standard for all.
Previous years those passes would miss the target and the ball would rebound up the ground. Just need to get big H on the same page ( should we get Lloyd down to teach him how to kick on the left?)

That was the best first half of footy Carlton has played for years. At half time I had drafted a message on my FB saying the same, but was second guessing myself whether I should post it. A mate of mine who I was with encouraged me to do so, and despite the looming heart attack in the last, it proved a good option. Gibbons when he played midfield was all class. Just leave him there please. Martin continues to impress, and on current exposed form looks to be a gun. I really enjoyed eddies work rate and effort, I hope he can continue that level. Pittonet is the best backup ruck we have had in ages, at least on current form. Casboult was huge again today. McGovern had a great spurt but Id like to see that effort more consistently showed across 4 qtrs.

The biggest question mark I have is on Mckay. Wasn't he a deadeye shot on goal in his first season? A contested marking beast? Not sure where that has gone, but please get it back and soon.
