So... umm... shouldn't this game be postponed given the 14 day isolation requirement ..?

Only those tested positive and those in close contact (>15 min face2face or > 2hours in the same inside area)

My guess is that if the other players are negative (unlikely) and then negative again say on Friday, game may go ahead or rescheduled to allow for >5 day break from the Melb game

Shouldn’t Essendon** just forfeit the game?

Is it unreasonable to expect that the AFL should have foreseen the possibility that this was likely to happen and put in place contingency plans that were transparent and known in advance to the teams and the supporting public?

Or should I have expected that the AFL would continue with making things up as they go along?

How are they supposed to train and prepare for this game if they're in isolation next week ahead of more testing ..?

Won’t go ahead and the AFL will award * the game based on ladder position.

Or they’ll dock us points for breaching Covid restrictions

The bravery they've shown in disclosing this positive test should be seen as a paragon for al other clubs to follow

if conor came back from ireland a month ago, he should have already shown symptoms, so one would think Essendon* would have known about this a while ago. i find it intereting they tested him 6 times - they knew something was wrong early on - they should hve isolated him then

all the more reason to give us the four point and banish Essendon* from the league forever, and erase any memory of them from history

Indeed. Unfortunate.

Unfortunate that the COVID restrictions would prevent me from holding a massive party to celebrate these utter pricks being folded out of existence.

Just call it a protest, and it should be right.

if we play
Kennedy good in the scratch match,
Would like a fit Dow and Fish but not sure where they are up to. TDK go through but not sure how well he played.
Who do you drop?
Could see the game - so just going off stats (which is obviously a pretty rough take) Cunners? Setters? Newnes? Plow? SPS? Replace McKay with Kennedy?
or give them all another chance to settle in?

Truthfully I do not think we would lose anything by dropping Setters (and I have been on his side for a while) Cunningham (though his replacement needs leg speed - Cunningham's speed early was helpful) Plowman, SPS, or Newnes

setters had few possessions - but did lead in the tackles. Not sure that is enough though
