I just love the will to win around here.

Trouble is people tend to forget that the Hawks thrashed the Tiges last night and were in turn thrashed by the Cats last week.

And we were beaten by the Dees who are indisputably worse than the Cats.

Still, a week's a line time in footy.

My prediction is either:
a) We are competitive until three quarter time and end up losing by 15-20 points thanks to some dodgy umpiring decisions to Duckwood and Dangermouth,
or b) We get smashed by a cricket score :banghead:

Don’t forget everyone we have 16 pieces of silverware in the cabinet.

The story so far ..... Rounds 1 and 2

(1) Goaless at quarter time
(2) Opposition have the customary minimal 5 goal lead
(3) Suffer long term injury at the 15 min mark of the 1st quarter
(4) Lose by a smallish margin

Round 3

Hopefully tradition goes out the window
TBC
That's a scary summation....

Bloody kills me... Have always said... You don't even need talent to show pressure and intent

Time over for talk action required and not for a quarter or even a game (although that would be an improvement ) but for the rest of season

Carlton up by a smallish margin at quarter time, talked up by all and sundry then come out and loose by a big margin (I'm going to say 60+). Can you bet on that? What odds?

First to the ball and link up....don't just bomb it unless you have a target long.

Yes dogs have better players.

People saying we will come out breathing fire? When was the last time any Carlton team came out breathing fire?

I for one would like them to just come out breathing.

Means nothing.
I rmember Hawks having none.
Now they have 13.
In the same time we have won 8.
History means nothing on game day unless the players are playing for the club and not for themselves.

Let's be honest the chances of a win are virtual nil. I don't mean to be negative, I just think that is the reality. Their midfield could seriously torch ours.

If they bleed...we can kill 'em.

I expect our boys to be breathing fire.

Put it this way, if the Cats lose, they will not embarrass themselves infront of their supporters.

If they are losing because we put up a huge 18 v 18 fight, their supporters will not be able to lift their team, nor will they influence the umpires as they usually do.

Just make sure we don't do what Hawks did and capitulate in the midfield or go towards boudaries.

Take them on Head ON !!!!!![/

Smash into them at every chance, drive them hard into the turf. Hurt them at every opportunity

Our boys aren’t physically intimidating so I’m not expecting that.
I just want to see some tactical unpredictability that puts doubt in Geelongs minds and challenges their thinking and confidence. Wishful thinking I know.

And Gold Coast hasn’t won for twelve months. Winning has to start somewhere, may as well be now
