This squad can do football but can't do first quarters.

Willo will have to come in - good to see him back. Jack - Stocker or Philp.....

Would like to see Stockers aggression on the park again - Cats midfield isnt fast need a pitpull.

Geelong by 10 goals plus... before we score our first goal and lose by 5.

Williamson for Newman

J.Silvagni for Lang

Philp for Gibbons

We need speed to break their defense at that substandard AFL ground, Kardinia Park.

Hang on. We need to win the ball first.
I want Jack Sinagni and Stocker in the middle with Cripps from the first bounce

Owies kicked 3 in the scratch match. Time he got an opportunity. That would free up Martin to play more midfield.

Gibbons IMO was one of the few that had a go all day. I wouldn't drop him.

Agreed...he looks like he wants it...doesn't always get it but his intent is there...more than others more skilled than he
He is a keeper!

Nah we’ll win this. I picked us to lose to Melb by a point - I’m picking Cripps to miss and a win regardless.

McGovern

You obviously don't like McGovern. He did a lot of great stuff, smart stuff.

Should've held onto a couple marks he dropped, sure, but he presented and gave us an option many a time from hard running.

McGoverne played 10 times better than McKay.
Why don't you nominate McKay instead?

Agree. I thought Gibbons was good all game.

I was sooo pissed off with our midfield, I didn't have the guts to suggest Murphy or Setterfield or Newnes.
I know it isn't Murphy's fault he is asked to play midfield.

Murphy got 22 possessions but when his main game was on the wing, he was sooo unaccountable for Tomlison.

At least we will be familiar with the ground, unlike most other Melbourne teams.

Just read Owies did alright in the scratch match. Interesting
I think that was 15 v 15.

Geelong have big bodies all over the ground, let alone the midfield group.

Demons midfield group Petracca, Oliver and Viney/Brayshaw were too strong for ours.

Even Oliver beat Cripps hands down, so we need a more physical presence from Cripps this week.

Selwood Dangerfield Duncan vs Cripps, Jack Silvagni, if Ed doesn't tag, then he's a liability.
Please keep Murphy out of the midfield group. Maybe 10 minutes for a chop out...that's 10 minutes for the whole game.

Williamson for Newman is my preference week to week.

Silvagni for Lang as selected prior to late change.

Really want some speed ... and that leaves only Philp available ... for Newnes
Newnes mature body didn't help us against Dees, so don't expect it to help vs Cats at the Catland Rectangle

I don't want SPS playing HBF. He was a liability. Hope it was just a bad day for him but...

Backline:

Simpson Jones Plowman

Docherty Weitering Williamson

I wish I knew how Honey and Stocker played in the scratch match.

We are going to get flogged so time to make a statement.
Drop the entire leadership group and keep dropping who ever you can until you run out of players to replace them with.
Murphy Doc Simmo Ed SPS even Cripps drop the flower lot of them.
Fancy your captain coming out during the week saying he is sick of losing then has the chance to grab the game and take it and you could hear the wind whistling out of arse whilst lining up for goal.
And your co captain taking 2nd steps and making terrible mess at the moment the game was there to be won.

Attitude has to change they are a bunch of losers and this runs like a cancer through the club anyone who arrives ends up the same way with in 12 months.
