Not sure if either of these 2 are selected for tomorrow:

Two Melbourne players are set to be suspended until the AFL’s strict COVID-19 protocols, after breaking regulations.
Charlie Spargo and Kysaiah Pickett are the two players involved.

Pickett is selected, Spargo not.
Expect Pickett's replacement to win the Moran

Willo is the most suitable replacement ... intent run and usually hits targets ...

DARCY Lang has been confirmed as the late inclusion for tomorrow’s clash with Melbourne.

It will all come flooding back when he misses 2 set shots from 30 out.
Oh yeah I remember him

From the exact same spot too.

Lang is actually highly skilled and I think he's a good inclusion. Works hard up the ground to provide an outlet for the defenders and is a good finisher.
It's a good forward line.

So do I give in to the expectation of the usual match losing lapses with poor disposal and decision making and mental fragility or do I trust and have faith in the positive words of Andrew Russell and expect to beat the deeees...?

I agree Rexy have similiar feelings we have been waiting so many years to see a mature methodical win
Let’s hope we have turned the corner

Are those complaining about the slow team we selected complaining about Lang's inclusion?
He's no greyhound but he's quicker than Jack but nowhere near as versatile.
I thought Kennedy but there you go.

I've been advised that due to 'up and coming' umpires not being able to practice in lower leagues they will be placed with senior umpires to get match day experience.

Umpires have already been appointed for our game.

Brace yourself for ordinary umpiring.

Up and coming umpires will probably be better than the prima donnas we’re used to. Umpiring in the VFL is infinitely better than the AFL

Cannot agree.
Vfl umpires have even less feel for the game and pay too many technical frees, partly out of fear they will be marked badly if they don't pay stuff. More experienced umpires tend to let some stuff go and don't get suckered by "the obvious".

They're dropping like flies.
Looks like its a case of survival of the fittest.

We only had Kreuzer Curnow Marchbank and Kemp as definite outs when players returned from lockdown.
Somehow Marchbank came back with a new injury.

Fisher didnt get up ... understandable. Serious injury.

DeKoning got injured when the physical stuff started.
Dow's knee got sore over the weeks
Silvagni with gastro, a bit of bad luck.

The team looks strong bodied with younguns out: Dow, LOB, Fish
Expect a good showing from Gibbos and Setters to make up for round 1, and Lang playing for his career.

Go Blues

Lang I thought was playing for his career last year and didn't do enough till he went nuts with 3 tackles in 30 seconds, showing us what he can do.
Lang must have impressed since they returned from lockdown. Poor fella has been hampered by injury since he came to Carlton.
If he's fit, he could surprise and show the form he showed for Cats in Finals a few years back. He's only 25yo and at the peak of his career.

Good luck to Lang and all the Bluebaggers in over 7 hours time.

Go Blues
