The break is likely not what he wanted, but definitely needed.

After one round of footy?

After years of carrying the team.

I agree with Rexy it’s just not the physical it’s the mental fatigue is if I don’t star today the chances of the team winning is slim
That’s why Our senior players must step up to assist him Doc Murph Curnow Simpson Jones Eddie Martin and evening Newnes and Newman

I have to admit, he didn’t look right round 1. I felt he struggled a little.

Let the games recommence.

Cannot wait to watch that Dark Navy Blue jumper in full flight again.

I have watched the round 1 game, no doubt, at least a dozen times, and have memorised the errors and failures, but I must say again, we really dismantled the Tigers in the 2nd 3rd and 4th quarters even with our 3 stars missing in from the forwardline: Charlie, Harry and Bettsy.

I'm read to watch round 2 with excitement, with the return of Betts, Harry and Marchy, giving us that extra class and firepower.

I expect everyone has seen the errors of the team and the individual.
Those who didn't play well, will be sichkof watching the only footage thus far for 2020.

I expect the players to have built up their strength and stamina over the lockdown with a hunger not seen for many years.

I expect us the play Finals in 2020.

Good for you, Bondi.
I wish I could drum up the same level of enthusiasm.
Personally I'm a bit over 2020.

me too. no crowds...a bit bleak. especially if we lose.

but I'll be watching, and if we are competitive, I'm hopeful it could be good for raising Blue spirits around the country. I really hope they will have worked on the viewer experience this time. I'd be using old footage fore the supporter crowds. Or even cartoon crowds for fun. Just something please!

who are we playing? seriously have no clue. is it announced yet? Is it doggies?

Great enthusiasm!
I think a feature of the last few years has been seeing terrible reactions on the field to obvious strategies that the opposition is employing.
We would then wait until quarter time (or whatever) to counter it.
I'm hoping that was a factor of Bolts plus lack of on-field leaders (also not knowing what they SHOULD do, leaders and players)
I would like to see THAT improving... (it did towards the end of the first quarter).
Finals... Phew... That would be AMAZING!

Go Blues

Hate to say it, but the next 2 games are crucial for us. We don’t have the bigger bodied depth, therefore momentum, especially with it being a shorter, condense, 16 game season from here, is vital for our younger team.

Having said that, the team with the players focused and ready to go in round2 will have a huge advantage. Teams that I would be backing - will have depth and bigger bodies but not the older / injured bodies.....Geelong & Hawthorn might struggle but Collingwood & GWS might be lucky....will be interesting.

Completely agree that we need to get off to a good start. It’s been a problem for years now. I think belief and momentum are huge for our group, as we saw back end of last year, and they will only grow if we can get early wins. Doubt we’ll have an easy draw to start given that I think a few of the teams in the QLD hub (namely, GC, Crows and Freo) won’t be any good, but it sounds like the AFL will be playing them off against the other hub teams to start the season. Likely we start the first 4 weeks against predominantly Melbourne teams. Regardless of who we play, we have to avoid a bad start if we want to even contemplate finals

It could become a development year pretty early on.

Meanwhile, according the hun, Essendon** will emerge as the big winners. They have also already declared them* as the big winners for the 2020 trade period and 2020 draft.

WHY BOMBERS ARE BIG WINNERS FROM SEASON DELAY
With a heap of pre-season injuries, Essendon* was behind the eight ball at the start of the season. But when the season was shut down, those players had time to recover and are now ready to train and play games.

What else would one expect from the Essendon* Herald Sun?

AR can have them physically cherry ripe but it's their skills and decision-making that needs to improve greatly. How they fix that I don't know. All I do know is that careless turnovers kill you dead.
