A great list manager. Great he definitely wasn’t
The team finished 16 th and way last in the last 2 years
Hopefully we will be better with the latest additions and the possibility that
some of these youngsters take a couple of steps forward plus The Doc in defence

We can disagree about his recruiting performance over the five year period but to say he has been great is bullshit

I read this morning our education system is [REDACTED]. With you claiming to be a school teacher, it all makes sense now.
Basic comprehension. I didn't say he was a great list manager, I said he was a great manager of the system. "gaining great value from the mechanics of the drafting system" eg. trading picks to gain more value for them. System not personnel.
As for recruiting, I said he was ok.

Off topic, but, add this to the list of things that are getting more [REDACTED] by the day. This country's up the sput. Should be a new thread.

I quit teaching 7 years ago.
System was [REDACTED] and needed a change
Open my eyes to a different world
I’m semi retired working weekends as a pool lifeguard
Why only weekends you might say
Because the bosses arn’t there
As the great comedian Bill Hicks once said
The best thing about being a comedian is you don’t have a boss.

Pretty relevant given what is going on at Royal Parade.
BV cronyism still exists at the club you and I support and it will continue to be that
way until the outdated rules that govern the place are removed and we get people in who understand what the 21st century is about.
As far as a great manager of the system I don’t think you can say that until
Marchbank and other players who he got with those round about deals really show something long term
Great is an over used word
We have one great player in Paddy Cripps
You can’t call SOS great in any way until we are a top 4 team

Jack needs to be read the riot act, and the club needs to sort this shit out once and for all. It's @#$%&! embarrassing.

I just saw the headline in the sports section of the Herald Scum....OMG.

Why would he do that? Other than not using his head before his heart.

Now Brett temple from Facebook page is bring interviewed by Tom Browne to talk about his petition to keep SOS. Can’t believe this guy is getting air time given he passes off rumours from big footy as his own sources. This is embarrassing. Still silence from the club.

Silvagni departs Carlton’s administration after five years http://carltonfc.com.au/news/2019-12-04/silvagni-departs-carltons-administration-after-five-years.mobileapp

Best spin possible I think but reeks of s smoke screen.

Fork Tongued.

Liddle isn't a Carlton person.

Interesting that the club is looking at Matt Bain as his replacement if you believe channel 7.

Isn’t the whole point that we move away from the Carlton way. We need to remove he old school mentality. Thought Liddle provided that and doesn’t have any allegiance to anyone in order to get successful. This is what we have been crying out for. Not sure why the Liddle bashing to be honest. He is keeping everyone honest.

If people remember watching the draft, It seemed to me Teague wasn’t entirely happy in some discussions with SOS. I don’t know much but looking on the outside, this was the body language I saw.

The coach and recruiter being at odds, not again! Teague needs a run with no one in the way, and he should have a say in the type of player he sees fitting the team.

People on social media saying they are cancelling memberships are unbelievable.

We will survive and there will always be someone else stepping in. Hopefully we choose well.

I can see his point and he obviously had the strength to effectively sack a club legend.
I think we agree he had a conflict of interest with his sons on the list.
It is just a shame that SOS didn't get to go out on his own terms.

True Kezza but some people are stubborn and will never leave if you let them. , management needs to evolve and so moving SOS will give us a new dynamic. SOS may like tall athletic players, and someone else may like just pure stocky footballers. We need to change it up and get fresh eyes.

Just like the article said, SOS couldn’t even be involved with match committee meetings around discussions about his sons.

Imagine he cracks it when we drop them to the reserves. Maybe he did when Jack was.

Who really knows. The media are certainly feeding on bad Carlton news again. So annoying that we do this to ourselves.

That's a BS statement Surrey.

He is not going anywhere as far as anyone knows.
