Matthew Kreuzer (foot) is on track for a late season return and Charlie Curnow (knee) is done for the season but the Blues are confident Eddie Betts (hamstring), Zac Fisher (low-level syndesmosis) and Nic Newman (elbow) will all be ready by the week of June 11.

And of course in a shock to no-one, Richmond have a grand total of zero @#$%&! injuries.

Wasn’t Eddies original injury a calf?

Now a hamstring??

:?

Disappointed with the Marchbank update. He won't come up for R2.

He's got talent, but with lists being trimmed down I don't think we can afford to have injury plagued players sitting on the sidelines anymore.

He's got to string some games together when he returns.

Ditto

Was really looking forward to him showing the footy world how good an athlete and footballer he is.

Would love him playing defensive wing as a great link up from defense.

The boy can run.

De Koning experiences ankle sprain

Tom De Koning will be sidelined with an ankle injury.
By Carlton Media - 1 hr ago

RUCKMAN Tom De Koning has sustained a moderate lateral ankle sprain, following a training session at Ikon Park yesterday.

The 20-year-old is expected to be sidelined for up to four weeks.

Carlton Director of High Performance Andrew Russell said the incident was unfortunate but would not be a significant setback for De Koning, who will be pushing for selection upon his return to full fitness.

Injury update | De Koning

Director of High Performance, Andrew Russell, provides an update on Carlton's injury list.

“Tom injured his ankle unfortunately yesterday, he was having a shot on goal and one of the players came across for a smother and awkwardly fell across his ankle,” Russell said.

“He has got a lateral ligament sprain. Most players when they hurt their ankle, they hurt this ligament.

“We expect it to settle down in three to four weeks, after which he should be available to play. We probably don’t expect him to be available for Round 2 but expect him to be available in the early rounds of the season.

Watch some of the best highlights from when full-contact training resumed.

“It is exciting some of the stuff he was producing on the training track. This was a small setback and we will see him back going well pretty soon.”

Carlton will resume their 2020 season on Saturday 13 June when they take on Melbourne at Marvel Stadium.
