Our offer for Martin was also more than reasonable, and has been acknowledged as such. There was plenty of interference. Ridiculous, but thankfully we had prepared for the worst.

SOS did everything he could without mortgaging our future. We left no stone unturned, and ultimately made the right call.

That's not what SOS said.
He said #9 'was involved'.
Of course Red Pill is 'in the know' so we automatically believe everything do we?

Geez you've been grumpy this year.

I would back that SOS did offer the straight swap at the last minute because he went back to the Swans and did something when it was obvious Dodoro wasn't moving Joe.

AND, all because he knew he didn't have a deal with GCS and could get him in the PSD, he wasn't fussed about the return of pick 25 he intended to use on Martin.

Why is it so unbelievable?

Why are you so grumpy? Lighten up my man...its the preseason and more than 5 months before round 1 ... with Eddie.

You ask? I answer.
I am grumpy because I could just let people imply that I am stupid or grumpy all the time and not respond to them but I'd rather prove it.

Yeah. Well let's say I had second thoughts about stirring the joint up.
I thought I'd managed to do it before the early risers had a gander at it.

Finbar, Macreadie, Polson, Williamson.

This quartet are very lucky to be on an AFL list in 2020, IMO. Williamson & Macreadie have hardly played since 2017, and Polson & Finbar look nowhere near the standard to me. Schumacher & Kerr are a bit unlucky in comparison.

Last roll of the dice for Williamson. I really rate this kid but some people just don’t have the body to stand up to the rigours of senior football. If (and it’s a huge if), he can get past his injury issues I can see him as a very solid contributor in the future.

Macreadie has really fallen off after a promising first year. Injuries haven’t helped. Something significant would have to change for him to go on beyond next season.

Polson not up to it and it’s hard to envision him turning it around. Providing nothing at VFL level. Teague not a fan either so can’t imagine he gets a look in at all next year.

Finbar was an odd pick up at the time. He’s the model for the 18 year that should go play senior football in a state league for a few years before a club considers taking him. He didn’t play much u18 footy due to injury, he’s extremely skinny, lacks strength and endurance. Nothing wrong with that for an 18 year old but I’d prefer to keep tabs on him playing VFL rather than commit a list spot to him for 2 years while he’s so raw and has no hope of contributing to our team. Hopefully with a big pre-season he can come on.

Raises a fair point though.

No disrespect to barass, Red Pill, OR and the others that are hoisted by the forum to the ultimate status of ITK..... but how is the scoreboard looking?

Average 90% hit rate between them IMO, possibly higher.

High praise from the chief copy-paster.

Don't be a sour puss.

They clearly get good mail and are really communicating the status at a point in time.

If the club genuinely thought Papley and Martin were over the line but then things changed - or worse, the clubs agreed and then reneged because they didn't want to look like mugs by failing to get Daniher and letting Papley go, or Tony Cockrane wanting to act 'tough' because of an unexpected bounty from the AFL then there isn't much they can do about it.

Status of things change, don't take your disappointment out on those willing to share some news.

Except reg - he's the biggest bullshit artist out there.

It’s not news. It’s misinformation.

Whenever realism found its way into the conversation, along came the usual suspects with their assurances that everything was in hand. Done deal, expect the announcement this arvo.

Just shows we’re a stupid lot, queuing up for snake oil.

We used to be better.
