Jones is handy but just makes to many mistakes

Jones plays Full Back but doesn't take the kick ins.

Moore plays CHB, Weiterings role.

hey if we could swap Jones for Moore, I'm all for it.

We need experienced, developed midfield playmakers whilst the young ones take time to develop over next 2-3 years

Wines would be great for next 3 years for the reasons Crusader states above.

Kelly from GWS would be good too....more outside.

Fingers crossed Jack Silvagni proves a revelation in there...till Kemp comes on in 2-3 years.

We need a couple mids before anything else.

We’ve invested heavily in the top end of the draft. Happy to trade our first pick - likely to be approx pick 8 - for a quality mid

Its time.

We expected to and failed to attract some big names in the last 3 Trade periods: Kelly, Shiel, Cognilio, Papley.
There were whispers of Wines on the radar last year.

Just get the Trades done this year FFS. No more kids for now. Please.

That has to be the dumbest article about Cripps that I have ever read. The mere suggestion to trade our CAPTAIN and spiritual leader is absurd. He actually loves the club and has NO interest in leaving. It would rip the heart out of the club and would go against anything that we have changed and are trying to build and imo we would never recover from.

We have improvement within, and perhaps externally, just not all immediate.

Imagine say Charlie, Kemp, Fisher, JSOS, say Papley...

replacing Murphy, Simpson, Eddie, Moore, maybe Ed.

Yes I'm discarding the oldies.

Even better, imagine Charlie, Kemp, Fisher, JSOS and Papley replacing Moore, Newness, Kruezer, Goddard and Lang.

You should push out your bottom five, not your high five.

Well if we're selecting any old five cloggers to boot out the door, Newnes isn't anywhere near them IMO.

Development is our biggest problem from 2016 to 2019 draft we 3 players
playing in the senior side At the moment with 1 of them traded to us which is Setterfield
The other 2 are Walsh & Samo Then you look at port who have about 10 and that is where
there improvements is coming from
It’s time our recruiting and selectors start making some tuff calls on some list cloggers

I'm talking about the starting 22, not necessarily the list, but yes, I agree.
Trouble is, as long as the older guys are there, I doubt Teague will have the balls to not play them.

And yet he was moved forward last week to hide him while Josh Kennedy was tearing them apart. :?

Foxfooty showed a graphic yesterday detailing games lost to injury this year. It's no surprise that the 4 teams with the least games lost to injury fill 4 of the top 5 spots on the AFL ladder. Carlton have the 5th most games missed.
We have backline KP depth. We just need to get games into them. Darcy Moore would be at the bottom of my shopping list.

We have the list.

They are the youngsters not getting a game.

Make the hard decision, pension off the old champs and look at the future.

Sure we will lose a few more games but it has to happen. We are not going to win the flag this year.

Need to get a bit more weight onto them and that is a job for Russell and the dieticians.

https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/afl-mid-season-report-who-s-firing-who-s-flopped-20200730-p55h24.html

According to the mid season report in The Age today we are:
- Equal top on total number of quarters won this season
- 6th Best defence
- 4th in goal shooting accuracy
- 5th in average points scored
- 6th in scoring from stoppages
- 2nd in being most affected by Best 22 injury
- 6th in total number fo players used

However we are
- 10th in % of game time spent in front
- 14th in average point's score against
- 12th in scoring from turnovers

Marc Pittonet measures well across the league as a ruckman, neither dominating nor lagging appreciatively

I'd say the list we have is doing very well overall but we need to tighten up in a few areas, when the team falls apart they fall apart big time and put the defence under enormous pressure.

We are on the right track.
