I don't like Friday night as much as I used to, the games start too late IMO. So not fussed on a personal level.

But LOL at the AFL saying we're still too shit for them when most Friday night games this year were putrid.

Totally agree.

How ironic.

AFL doesn't do any favours for Carlton.
They do the opposite trying to supress the juggernaut.

It may be a year too early to return to Firday night. Hopefully not, but I wouldn't mind sitting out another year and seeing how we go in 2020.

I'm missing something coz I can't see how Friday nights are so special

The only thing I see it as is just a corporate marketing trick by Ch7 to promote ratings

I call BULLDUST on the 'Friday night' status

Friday’s are really no good for younger kids. I’ll probably attend more Northern games than AFL this year anyway so my then 2yr old can run around during the breaks learning to kick.

The AFL can send either Collingwood or Essendon* there next year, our two years in a row were a joke.
Imagine Eddie if Collingwood get sent there, plus having 6 interstate games.

I don't mind watching a game on Friday (or any other weekday) night when I'm home but I really don't like traveling into the city when we play.

Some blue haired mob is always gluing themselves to the streets and you're fighting against the inner city traffic.

Love Saturdays or the 1pm Sunday games...

Cheers.
Thursday night games are crap for those of us who have to start early the next morning.
Really don't want to have to waste annual leave taking two Fridays off in the space of a few weeks.
I will just tough it out and go to work bleary eyed.

Why do the AFL release the fixture on a drip feed ? Are we supposed to be eagerly awaiting the next thrilling announcement ?
Just release the far king thing in one go..........flogs.
