Rocked up to Elsternwick station at 12:45 .. stood there 20 minutes before the attendant bothered to say buses replacing trains (no signs anywhere).

Jumped on the bus, driver goes right up punt road. I almost pull the pin. Game starts, we're on Punt road and havn't gone past Domain road.

12 Carlton supporters watching on my phone. 10 mins in, get to Goch's paddock. We bail and sprint. I get to my seat 20 minutes into the first quarter and have a strong feeling I should have bailed back at Elsternwick.

Then there was a few quarters of some of the most shocking umpiring I've ever seen, St Kilda looking dangerous... and then somehow we hit the front. And we win!

Play was right in front of us at the final siren. Took a video... sorry for the poor quality but you get the idea. Massive navy blue crowd, very loud.

The boos at 50 seconds are for the MAGGOTS.

Anyway, YOU BEAUTY!

Great win by the boys today. Undermanned and all. If our forward 50 entries where better and of course the umpiring, it would have been a slaughter. We are growing in confidence and belief. Bring on 2020.

Pros A beautiful day at the footy 51,000 crowd excellent Levi Kreuz murph McGovern SPS Cripps Better games from Dow and Cripps Good that Dow nailed the goal in the last Winning when Jones Weitering and Marchbank not playing Winning ugly today and that's good Kept going when 4 goals behind in second quarter Forward line when we get Curnow H and McGovern all firing will be brilliant Cons Need to take our chances should have been 4 goals in front at quarter time not 4 points down Umpiring abysmal Gibbons and Deluca very fumbly today Inside 50 conversion needs work Desperate for crumbling pressure forward

Saints fan when they got to ?26 points up - " I knew we'd win, but not like this" When game was over, he was long gone. The crowd noise after the McKay goal was enormous. I believe us and Tiger fans easily the loudest

We even dropped 'oppo' (opposition focus), we said it was about us this week and we wanted to play our way and our best footy. We saw glimpses of it, we've got a fair bit to go." Good! Bolts laid the foundations well, but couldn’t finish the job. Teaguey’s come in and done the rest. Reckon we’re on our way now. Everybody knows it. Even those in the media who’ve lets face it, loved every minute of our demise as a Club, know it. Hope prospective recruits were watching. Big crowd, exciting footy, United Club with a great positive vibe right now. Jump on board. ‘This place is going to erupt’ as Crippa said.

I believe us and Tiger fans easily the loudest The play when we went coast to coast and Simmo got it and kicked it over the top to McGovern was amazing from the crowd. They started to roar as it unfolded and it got louder and louder the closer Mitch got to goals and then erupted when he finished. Just like the old days. Well done to all of you who went.
