So, all the experts on here criticising Teague in the match thread vs the Tigers gonna back it up with a post lashing out at Adam Simpson’s coaching credentials today? I lost count of how many times the Eagles bombed it forward to the two loose Richmond defenders today.

The performance of the team since David took over has moved me to poetry:

The season had started badly
We were the laughing stock of the league
We needed someone to take charge
And that someone was David Teague

He came in with a bunch of new ideas
And had to make plenty of decisions
But in the end the best idea he had
Was putting players in their best positions

The first challenge from Brisbane was a big one
The Lions played with skill and aggression
But then the mighty Crippa stood up
With four goals and a heap of possessions

Next up the battling Bulldogs
A see sawing game all day
And even though we never gave up
It was the doggies who finally held sway

Then a trip across the Nullabor
To play Freo who were then in the eight
And although we conceded the first five goals
Eventually our efforts were too great

To the mighty MCG to play the Demons
And once again off to a slow start
And though we came home like a freight train
A narrow loss broke Blues supporters hearts

The Sydney Swans on their home ground
Was a task that once would have caused us concern
But an accomplished and confident performance
Showed maybe our mojo had returned

The Suns and the Crows were our next victims
Suddenly we'd won three in a row
But how good were we really
Well in two weeks time we'd know

The Mighty Tigers and Premiership Eagles
Were a mountain a little too steep
But I know we're going the right way about it
So I'm not losing any sleep

The Saints just couldn't stay with us
Our class won out in the end
Our grizzled veterans and baby faced kids
Are becoming the perfect blend

So onto the Cats at Kardinia
If we win there this site will go crazy
Y'know my only regret in all of this
Is we had to let go of Daisy

me too! I'd probably give daisy another year ... other than that, it's hard not to love us right now.

if we get a run with injuries next season, i think we're a top 6 team as of right now. throw in some development - like lions. and who knows.

our spine is something to behold. and if we get conglio's outside run to go with the engine room grunt.

crazy times await.

Ed Curnow's play list - 'Chemical Heart' was pretty good I thought!

Go Blues

Monga may as well roll the dice with his analysis. Also said * wouldn't win another game, and would miss finals.

I’d be curious to know whether he chatted to his brother beforehand.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he did and Brad just said “Go for it, muddy the waters a bit more”
