I'm concerned about Teague for a few reasons.

But, it is also entirely possible we just have a list that hasn't been developed well enough, doesn't bat deep enough and doesn't dig deep enough.

I’m sorry but for all those backers of Teague l, I ask you, isn’t it plainly obvious that our current coach is missing the mark in so many areas.

Bring in Woosha.

I’ve seen enough to suggest that the players aren’t getting the message.

Their performances lack urgency and commitment.

Teagues press conferences are not up to the standard of a Carlton coach.

Enough fooling around and let’s get fair dinkum serious.

Bite the bullet Carlton and make a stand while the season is still alive.

What stand would that be?

Either reinvent a new David Teague or hand over the keys to Woosha

Wanting your senior coach to succeed isn't backing or not backing. Fact of the matter is he has coached 31 games and chop changing coaches this frequently is doing more harm than not.

I have seen enough of Teagues coaching (a whole 31 games) to suggest he is one of the best young coaches to come through the AFL ranks.

Sure he doesnt scream, shout and carry on but so what his record is around the 50% mark after 30 odd games and need a whole lot more data to make any definitive conclusions

I think he has started well - next month is going to be hell for him but thats why you get paid the big pennies to cope and thrive from it. There is no way he is getting sacked after 30 games and close to a 50% win record.

I don't think Worsfold himself is interested in the latter option

I support reinventing a new David Teague, but over a period of time. That is what appointing Woosh as an advisor is all about, to me. I think we would all be very happy if DT was still our coach in a decade & had premiership success under his belt, & that should be the common aim, otherwise why appoint a young developing coach in the first place?

If we boot Teague & start again, that would be like our millionth coach in the last 20 years. Seriously enough is enough. Hardwick had his detractors, then they lost 3 elimination finals in a row, & they still stuck with him. Let's see how Teague goes when a few injured players start coming back, starting with our 3 best pressure forwards SOS Martin & Fisher.

On the forums & various youtube channels, we've all been overreacting to both losses & wins a bit too much IMO. That was one message I thought Bolton had spot on - don't get too high or too low with our results.

Bulldogs. Top of the ladder. 5 players dropped from a winning team.

At the end of the day it’s purely semantics whether Murphy makes it to 300 games or not. Does 290 games make him a lesser player!?!?

It’s this culture of playing someone who does f—k all that is killing this club.

For heavens sake, get fair dinkum serious and play players on merit!

It’s time this club grew up and started showing accountability and leadership like it did under Parko.

As Keough says, times have changed and it not necessarily is for the better.

Nonetheless, when Richmond players speak they come across as level headed, mature blokes. Our players act all squibbish and appear completely unsure of themselves.

Now, is this a reflection on the coach. I say it is. The coach sets the standards and the culture. All else follows...

If Carlton can nurse the toothless balded headed MM from another club to 300
Surely we can nurse the metrosexual pretty boy MM from our own club to 300

Carlton insuring the MM's get to 300

There should be a special MM jumper. Of some sort.

Very out of character post this.

Worsfold should be the last choice. He's been sacked from 2 clubs because of this strategic inability and inflexible approach.
Teague deserves the opportunity but the pressure is on him to perform. Giving the job to Worsfold would be a disaster.

I fear that this club cannot see the forest for the trees.

It believe it’s own spin, which is a philosophy and set of values thought up by someone who knows nothing about winning games of footy. It’s been described on here before that this corporate talk is blinding the players and hindering our performance....consistently wining games of footy. You hear Sam docherty week after week say. I know success is just around the corner, but I fear he is buying into the bullshit spin that infiltrates the club. How does he know success is around the corner? He has not been part of winning forty teams!

The worst result this weekend is if we win by two goals because we will then sit on our butts the next week and lose that game.

Culture and identity. I sound like a broken record but we are going nowhere while these two issues aren’t properly addressed
