That should be the mantra.

I hope its the big story before the game on Saturday.

Me too.
so hard for players and supporters alike.

Its not just Teague. Russell was a good get but Ive yet to see any improvement in the team ability to be consistently competitive each and every quarter and loose the lapses that inevitably cost us a 4 goal or so deficit!

That will come when they are adults.

Another horror Q1 comes back to bite Carlton.

Since the start of 2019...
Q1: 7W, 16L, 1 draw
Q2-4 combined: 36W, 33L, 3 draws

What's the Q1 win/loss ratio under Teague?

It's not just the losses... it's the margins of the losses. I'd love to see the stat of how many 4+ goal head starts we've given up in those games

Yep agree Cranium -not caretaker anymore needs to impose himself on the team and our inadequate inept starts where we leak easy goals must stop

Teague has to be careful about critiquing their poor starts without risking another player mutiny.

If he continues to not get a team up to start a game he is going to get critiquing from the whole football industry
It’s a standing joke and he needs to rectify it quickly otherwise he will come to grief
With the players at his disposal he needs to do better no longer caretaker
It will be 0-3 next week and the natives will become restless with another season in tatters

It's a woeful record but don't be fooled by the list....its paper thin and some are way over-rated e.g. McGovern.

God, that's terrible reading. I was in the stands when they were flogged by the Dogs in the first quarter before losing narrowly. I was just shattered watching. They were helpless and hopeless, no flair, no dare, no one moving to create a target. I remember shouting "for God's sake do something, don't just stand there!" And nothing seemingly has changed.

Clearly Teague is falling short on getting their heads prepared properly for 3 hours of match intensity.

Russell has them fit enough no doubt. Probably league leaders in fitness but wooden spooners for 4 qtr application which is on Teague and Barker et al.

Need someone to break the psychological barrier.

You can’t win the Masters hitting an 80 in the first round every time.

Thanks Effes. No further questions your Honour

Actually, I will add a comment...what do they say, win games early in the season and bank them for insurance later
Surely there must be some relationship within an actual game...win the first quarter(s) and you can bank those points for insurance later in the game.

Yeah I've never been as excited about our list as others on here... we have some very good players but as a group, I believe our list is nothing more than mid-table quality.

Russell may have them fit enough but they don't appear strong enough... Still

We were strong enough and fit enough to overpower and outscore them by 7 goals in 3 qtrs.

Agree Rexy but will never and have never been a successful team if you are mentally fragile and continually not turn up for the first quarter and half the second

I'd much rather Harford working with Teague than Barker.

Harford changed the culture of the womens team as soon as he turned up. Why wouldn't you get him involved doing the same with the mens team ...?

We probably have the worst coaching group in the AFL.
