Lucky we signed him up... Reports of Ross Lyon being sacked at Freo.. would've been a media disaster if we hadn't appointed Teague last week.

Yes, definitely. Our Board would be too tempted by Lyon and appoint him.

They can still @#$%&! it up by appointing him as Coaching Director or Senior Assistant... or Cultural Attaché to the Court of St James, such is his penchant for the dirty old man life.

Thank goodness for early appointments. Some money-man behind the scenes would have blinked and forced our footy dept into Lyon.

me too! I'd probably give daisy another year ... other than that, it's hard not to love us right now.

if we get a run with injuries next season, i think we're a top 6 team as of right now. throw in some development - like lions. and who knows.

our spine is something to behold. and if we get conglio's outside run to go with the engine room grunt.

crazy times await.

I'm happy to read its hard not to love us right now.

You're happy
We are all happy

I agree we are at least a top 6 team at this minute.

Not true.
Lyon was never in the running to be our coach.

Everyone loves Carlton.

The things some clubs do to ensure Adelaide fall further down the ladder.

A big win by Port at Home v Freo this Saturday will see them climb above Adelaide.

Stocker deal looking better by the day. Not for me. I liked the Stocker deal from Day 1 knowing we have Andrew Russell.

Messiah complex...

Cordy was a genius too. Do they still cycle to Portsea in his honour?

I don't doubt that. At all. I trust the group in charge of the footy Dept.

But I also don't doubt that one/some of the money boys would be wetting their pants if we signed DT with a 'big fish' in play. They would have been working the phones all day. With the best of intentions in the world, if your boss comes over the top and says 'get that guy' they would have to do it.

It's been a good 10 weeks.
We have won 6 games in that 10 weeks and we only won 6 games in the previous two seasons.
No wonder we are up and about.

Bloody Brian Taylor has written in the HUN that Carlton may regret "jumping the gun" signing Teague in light of Lyon being sacked.
Why doesn't he just disappear?
