Why doesn't he just disappear?

I regret BT full stop.

Not true.
Lyon was never in the running to be our coach.

I'm sure our Board would have known he was being 'made available'. In Freo's best interests for him to get another job, thus minimising his payout presumably.

Good point. And I suspect there may be another one or two in that category coming up e.g Hinkley.
I’m very glad however that we have made the appointment. Perhaps that is even the real reason we went with the announcement last week. Lyon available would have created a bit of a media mess.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see Lyon at GWS next year.
Right now, it is kind of looking like GWS has missed its opportunity, esp if Coniglio leaves.
But if they can put Ross in there, suddenly they look like contenders again and maybe even enough to persuade Coniglio to give it another two years up there...

Zero flags in 13 years.
Hardly a track record that screams 'pick me!'

You are hilarious.

You're right if you look at it that way.
Its a difficult one to measure
Lyon probably thinks like you do, but keeps it quiet.

Lyon is a good coach but not a great one and never will be.

Teague has potential to be a great coach in 2030 but not Lyon.

Andrew Russell was at Essendon* and Port before being at Hawthorn.
Tarah Kavanagh was previously at North.

Clarkson is a @#$%&! stick.

Note with interest that Brett Ratten has brought in Sam Rowe for St. Kilda for game 100 tomorrow. Perhaps he's grown from the Brad Fisher saga.
