Or maybe Goddard comes back in with the opportunity to show the Saints they made a mistake...

Personally, I’d prefer Casboult goes back and we bring in another runner or (alternatively  ) Kennedy...

Out: Jones, Lang, DeLuca
In: Kennedy, Dow, Stocker

Christ, let's hope not.... because they didn't.

Worth the punt but, unfortunately, true.

Well need to cover Stevens but I will be surprised if he has a big impact 2nd game back. I think this will be a case of a big return but the drops off a bit given his lack of fitness. Probably put Thomas onto him - he won’t be able to outsmart Thomas.
I’m more concerned about Billings.
I think Casboult could be good back this week. Harry can provide ruck relief. Go a bit smaller in attack with Harry, Gov and Kennedy. If they coordinate well, these three should stretch the defence.
It looks a pretty even game on paper. I suspect whichever team kicks more accurately or takes their chances more broadly will win.

If we can kick to hard leads from McKay and Gov (rather than stop, wait, wait, bomb high and long...), we should go well.

Good chance to play with a smaller forward line. H and the high flying mclovin enough. Kennedy presents well too.

Who plays 2nd ruck if Levi goes into defence?

Kruezer.

(Problem is we don't seem to have a first ruck anywhere).

Left-field option: Bring in Ben Silvagni.

I prefer Casboult behind the ball as well. Goddard had a shocker at VFL level on the weekend.

Problem is there isn't really a matchup for Cas on defence - nor for Goddard.

Josh Bruce is 197cm. That would allow Weitering to take Membrey and Plowman to pick up a small/mid forward.

Their mids beat us last time, Gresham played well last time and is an out this time. Billings, Steele and Dunstan all played well. Their mids gave plenty opportunities to Membury, Bruce and even Parker. We must match them in the middle hence I would bring in Dow and even if they play him forward they should give Dow and Fisher some time in the middle. We rely to much on Cripps, Ed, Murphy and Walsh, especially if Ed has a tagging role.

What’s the chances De Koning in for Jones and move De Koning back to defence?

Im right into TDK playing.
Levi to FB on Bruce and rule the air, even better than Jones in that area.
TDK hangs at FF to always have a tall down the line whilst Harry to lead out from FF to CHF and McGovern to play a higher CHF.

This might be the last chance to see some of our players run out for the navy blue, Thomas and Casboult maybe.

Quite strange considering that both are in career best form...

the thing that worries me about this game is they beat two sides in recent weeks we lost to - Dees and Doggies
They lost to crows which we won and they just beat Freo like us

this should be a great game - anyone know where I can watch it in Waikiki

Have previously had a great feed with footy on big screen at Giovanni Pastrami's...227 Lewers St. Game will start at 5:45pm so absolutely ideal. Give them a call beforehand to ensure they can accommodate you and tip the barman generously.

With a setup like that, Hawaii wouldn't you check it out?

As many predicted, Dow and Kennedy in for Jones (injured) and Lang (dropped)

I would have liked to see Fisher get a kick up the arse and have a look at Owies (or anyone not name Cameron P. Actually, that's too obvious, C. Polson.)

Good to see Teague isnt obsessed by tall players. I dread the day i see Jones , Jacob , Plow and Marchbank all playing in the same defense again.
