Yep, we've been playing a rotating defender off the bench most of the season. They seem to change the starting 6 most weeks. With 6,6,6, we rarely play a loose defender now unless the opposition push a forward up to the stoppages.
The rotating 7th defender now just occupies a bench spot mostly.

Thanks for your insight.
It seems to me to be correct looking into a tv set, and when at the ground I'm screaming my lungs out embarrassing my kids. Gotta do something about that.

God help everyone when we become a Top 4 side. Gosh I think we are that now. The next 4 weeks will tell.

It will be tough and rugged but we’ll bring home the bacon. Teaugy has truly reinvigorated the team m they're now confident and assured, its riveting stuff.
Reckon Fisher and Gov will come in for Dow and Deluca to be managed.
Tigers will be next in our sights.

That's the spirit.

That's the truth!

I’m excited to see how we perform against a real quality team.
We have exceeded my expectations from when Teague took over. Our wins (and losses) in the first 5 weeks were exhilarating with huge periods as well as lapses.
But the last two games have shown grit and consistency.

Against the Eagles, we’ll have to put those two components together - hit the highs, and do it for the whole game.
I reckon we are even in the middle, but they have a stronger attack and defence.
I’m hoping we break even in the ruck, outperform them in clearances, at least keep them honest in our defensive half and capitalise on our forward opportunities.
This may not deliver a win (although it might  ) but if we can achieve that then I’ll be very happy as we finish off the year and begin setting ourselves up for next year.

Wouldn't mind going to this one, but not at 3:20pm on a Sunday.

I know the AFL gets lots of TV $$$ by spreading the games but I don't think that it's in the game's best interests overall.

So great to feel ‘up and about’ and very bullish about the Almighty Blues!
Naturally all the supporters are keeping a lid on it
I look forward to selection nights and of course the matches at the weekends.
I love the way players have improved which means the team has improved which then means the players improve. It’s an upward spiral of improvement. May it continue

After going to the Essendon** game at the ‘G on that really cold, wet and miserable day; I felt so disappointed, despondent and emotionally punch-drunk.

To me, Bolts’ pressers were unwatchable. Salty Malty’s were as well but for different reasons.

I’m optimistic about Sunday’s game against the Weagles. Win this and the rest of the teams will stop seeing us a laughing-stock.

I’m looking forward to our beloved Blues finishing 2019 strongly and turbo-charging into 2020 :fight:

Fisher will be the only inclusion for either Dow or Deluca. I hope Cuningham is playing 2s and not out again. Very happy that Phillips gets another crack after his game last week

Bring it on.

The Eagles goal to goal line looks very strong as usual.

If they bleed we can kill 'em.

The Weagles are good but gee they're not in the "great" class by a long space. We've got in form players on every line and are playing team footy....enjoying the freedoms and simple instructions from Teaguey.

I'd rest Dow and give Deluca another taste of the big time after his WAFL years. He's still playing catch up fitness wise for AFL level but will be a player.

Go Blues

Underestimated this. We have depth and competition for positions. Definitely best 22.

Had been out for nearly 2 months I suppose. He’s an automatic selection when fully fit

The Eagles aren't a four quarter team. They tend to go balls to the wall for 15 minutes and then defend that lead. They have only won 7 more quarters this season than us.

Only 7 quarters? That’s an incredible stat
