Not much love for Jack here. Once again, he was immense when it counted. He has got to be in the discussion for our most improved this year.

The forward pressure can’t be understated. Kennedy 7 tackles, Dow 6 tackles, Gibbons 5 tackles, Jack 5 tackles and Deluca 5 tackles. We have barely ever got those tackling numbers from our forwards in the past few years. Allowed us to lock the ball in our half and delay their counterattack so the defence could set up well behind the ball

So did Bolts misread the way the game is generally played nowadays...forward pressure and more forward pressure?

Con - Getting in the car after the game to listen to the roundup, post match interviews and talkback.
Instead 3AW decide to take the feed of the WCE - Norf game, which was an SEN/ABC game. Ditto MMM.

Saving a few bucks maybe but losing 50% + of the audience share for a nothing game of little interest to anyone in Melbourne.

Couldn't make the game due to family duties. Came home, looked at my watch "game must just about be over now", turned on the radio to hear the last few seconds, rushed back into the lounge room "they've beaten the Cows!" I shouted to my wife. Had a tear in the eye as I listened to the post match discussion, Sellers was pretty emotional too, as was mentioned by another commentator.

Maybe I will live long enough to see another premiership, I'll be there with the grandsons too. The dark clouds are lifting. GO BLUES!

Interesting that our fwd pressure has piled on as the number of slow talls in our fwd 50 has dwindled....

Fantastic team effort led by Sir Patrick of Carlton . Thought Walsh did some amazing things down back (standing in the hole a couple of times and could've been smashed ). and for a first year player he is unreal . So many positive signs .Well done boys. Enjoy these wins , you deserve them . GO BLUES . Watched it with my grandson on the telly , great afternoon . Unfortunately he's not a blues supporter, been brainwashed by his grandmother ( nannys boy ), but he does enjoy watching the blues with me .

May I say Mrs Teddy was a 'woods supporter when we were going out but I showed her the error of her ways.

Our grandkids don't know any other colour but blue.

Be a man.

You can do it waterman! ,

We will back you up.

Bondi , I would love a surprise visit from Crippa bugger the grandson . Unfortunately not a paternal grandson ( still love him to bits though ) , his mum , dad and grandmother are druggies supporters ( I no how can I live with one ) believe me we have had many a discussion about ( the saga ) as they call it . It is officially banned conversation in the household these days . On a brighter note I do have a paternal grandson on the way and there will be no discussion about who he supports trust me .

I normally use the ABC feed for radio coverage, but on Saturday it wasn't working so I switched to 3AW. I'd forgotten how hilarious the random sponsor name dropping was on commercial footy radio. At one stage the caller said "Blues up by 10, but Adelaide with a chance now through Tyre Power" as though it was the most natural thing in the world.

That aside, I enjoyed some of their other quips like "player kicks it one metre, which is enough these days". I may overlook the crass commercialism and give them another spin one day.

he was a pisser, we would have the biggest arguments going around on here (during the Carlton leaving PP era) then catch up for a beer and laugh about it ... the way it should be :-) agree to disagree, but respect opinions etc..

Just seen this.
I really have to question what someone from Carlton has done to someone at AFL "makey-uppy" HQ.
We seem to always cop a pineapple on the end of a stick.
If a 50 was paid at the time then this would've never even come to light.
I hope the club shows some testicle fortitude and appeals this nonsense.

Can anyone tell me when the Setterfield and SPS ‘moments’ were so I can easily look out for it when watching the replay (going to finally watch it this evening...)?

And with the reaming we got from the umpires, will be interesting to see if he gets any Brownlow Medal votes (refer to Greg Williams 44 possession Brownlow medal voteless game in 1993  ).
