Phillips in for Kreuzer

Eddie, Keath and Greenwood our for Cows

Kreuzer out is a good call.
Obviously he's not right and if he were to serve up what he did against Gold Coast, the Crouch brothers would have 120 possessions between them. Ed will have to go to Sloane or Brad Crouch.
Probably Sloane. He's their main clearance winner where the Crouch brothers are still OK at stoppages but the overwhelming majority of their disposals are uncontested. Matt mainly getting handballs out the back. If they're beating us at the stoppages, we'd be better served pushing a half forward up to the stoppages and manning up Matt Crouch on the defensive side.

We need Phillips to give a strong contest to have any chance of matching their midfield. They're going to come out smoking tomorrow. Our boys better be ready for the physicality.
Jones to Jenkins, Weiters to Tex, Plowman to Lynch.

The pace in our front half is their worry. Hopefully McKay occupies Talia and Casboult can do some damage on the scoreboard. They don't really have a good match up for him.
I'm hopeful more than confident. But I'll be there anyway. My son and daughter are starting to drag me along now which is a nice change.

Good to hear mate. Enjoy

Blues by 38-44...!

I'm feeling pumped, first game in Melbourne for along time, just good not to be in a majority Dockers (and in days gone by eagles) crowd. Blues by 25

Unfortunately, I reckon we’re due for a hiding. And the Crows are going to be all too happy to give it to us.

I’m feeling very upbeat about today’s game as well.
Really looking forward to going to the ‘G today at the traditional Saturday afternoon timeslot.
Go Blues!

Lots of blue sky this morning so hopefully it stays that way.

You've been unusually bleak all week abns!
Hope the boys can turn that frown upside down.

We are chance because Teague hasn't done much but what he has done has worked.

We all know throwing Murphy and Ed back in the middle he has given Cripps support and us bigger bodied options to win the ball. Some where calling it all year.

He has structured our forward line better. Playing one bigger unit deeper and more at home has changed our options with lead up forwards more prevalent. Nice balance and bigger then previous McKay, Charlie and McG and without the liability of McGovern, far more potent even without Charlie. Never thought I would say that. Casboult's, SoJ form and Lang playing his best game last week has helped but it's no coincidence. We are structured better and thus allowing us to play to our strengths and kick a winning score.

We are taking on the game quicker and using the centre corridor more. Even our kick outs are more centered. Our backs look to be more accountable as well but maybe someone else can tell me what the change has been there, as I haven't been able to identify that just yet.

I'm looking forward to the next 5 weeks. I want to see what our boys produce against some quality opposition. I'm not expecting miracles but ideally I would like us to be knee deep in the games and even walk away with a couple.

Re the defenders: is it as simple as we've kept the ball in our forward half longer?
The other week 15 forward 50 tackles, earlier in the season averaging 3.

Not sure that it’s as simple as that. We seem to be more accountable and yes, our press when actioned, is better setup. Anyway, the next 5 weeks will tell us more. Looking forward to these games.

As Carlton supporters, I think we are all deeply scarred by the last 18 years

Another week, another inevitable late out.

Gameday preparation will be Russell’s next big challenge to rectify.

He's listed as being ill. Not sure there's much Russel could do about that.

Huge game for Dow then. I think he may have been destined for a few weeks in the VFL. Today if he can lift above his past 4 games, it might keep him in ahead of Deluca when Fisher comes back.

I like Paddy but he needs a big game under Teague. Maybe run him with one of the Bro's for a time today. They will lead him to the ball like no-one else.

Can't shake the feeling that our forward line will bring us down today. If ever Harry was to step up it is now
