Like many on here happy with the win but it was so frustrating.
I was worried all week about this game, one we were expected to win.
Didn't play our best but got the job done.
Cripps looked like he went over on his ankle in the first quarter, wasn't himself today.
The umpiring was baffling, not sure what the count was.
Anyway, a win is a win.
Players looked really tired in the last quarter.
What I noticed was a lot of the players dropped to the deck after the siren. I guess they weren't used to being the hunted and had to really grind it out.
That in itself is a positive. During the game I was getting frustrated but on reflection, we got the win and, let's be honest, we were not going to lose at any stage.
I wonder also if we're not giving the Suns enough credit for their performance? Just because they've been poor over the last month, doesn't mean they can't put in a good performance. We used to do that all the time under Bolton, the Collingwood game this year is a good example, it was surrounded by a block of really really ordinary performances. We all got sucked in by the last two beltings. I was a lot more cautious as posted in the pre game thread but I'll admit I also expected us to belt them easily.
Loved the game from Jones, he would be pushing for all Australian if not for his concussion lay-off. Ed Curnow again mr reliable.
Harry's stats may look decent on paper but like others I'm getting really frustrated with this laziness and his (unjustified) big ego. His spin celebration at the end epitomises this. You've played a couple of good games Harry but you don't have the runs on the board yet so pull your finger out and start working harder and practice your goalkicking ffs.
Winning ugly and sloppily is better than losing!
