Going to watch the replay at home because at the ground I literally has no idea what half the frees paid to GC we're for.

I had the pleasure of watching live last week so envy most of you guys and still miss Melbourne after 31 years.

Dont bother watching the replay cause I can tell you I had no idea either. Bunch of bald headed flogs the lot of them, even the ones with hair.

Glad we got the win. The umpiring was worse than usual and it's always bad, one set of rules for us and another for the opposition. With some fair umpiring and better execution the game would have been a blowout. Judd should be bitching about the umpiring on TV instead of talking about training wheels.

Yeah the last time we had such a big lead was against the Hawks and that didn't end so well. The boys dug in to make sure there was no repeat.

I'm happy to be unhappy about the game.

We were all worried we'd drop it and we didn't.

First game I've been to for about 3 years so I won't try to give a match report.
FWIW though here are a few thoughts:

I was very thankful we had Jones in the backline.

I've been a critic of JSOS. Not any more. Still learning, but determined and more than enough talent to make it.

I thought at one point that Obrien needs to spend some serious time working on kicking with his non-preferred. Then I realised he's a left footer.

Lost the stoppages badly, but that's been well documented.

Daisy's a smart footballer.

I still don't understand the rules.

Most of them could count the times they've sung it in the two seasons on one hand!

I thought Harry was rubbish. He has enormous talent but he's @#$%&! lazy. A number of times today he ducked out the back looking for the easy ball and left his team mate to fight against 2 defenders.
At one stage it looked like Thomas gave him a bake for his selfishness.
If Charlie is ready to return, I'd piss Harry off to the 2's. Levi is far more valuable at the moment.

I wouldn’t say Harry is lazy. His work without the ball is enormous.... but this is footy. If he wants to be good at exercise, he should lean down and take up rowing.

He’s a bunny in the one on ones and seems to take a lighthearted approach to rare scoring opportunities. That bouncy, one handed, arm swinging set shot routine is a big steaming brickie sh*t on Sav Rocca’s reputation.

Not lazy, but certainly unprofessional. Borderline disrespectful.
Lazy when not directly involved, also gets in Casboults way

Special K couldn't get over or around the big Witts and got smashed. All credit to him he kept trying to have some impact but but Witts dominant.

What's the chances we would have won against the Doggies and Melbourne if Jones played. He was brilliant today.

Liked Kennedy, Murph, Ed, Weiters, Walsh and Levi.

Setters was Ok. O'brien better but still takes some short steps at times.

SOS is in our best 22 from here on in.

SPS some nice work after 1//4 time.

If it is a ploy for Harry and Levi to both fly at the same ball we have to find an A Grade crumber from somewhere.

Nice to see a win live but once we got 7 gls up 10 mins into the 3rd a 10-13 gl win should have been the story. Baby steps.

Regards Cazzesman

Jones did play against the Dees. Otherwise I generally agree with your post

I went to the ground today just hoping for a win (any win). By halftime I was pissed off we were ‘only’ 4 goals up. By the last quarter, I’d gone back to “I’ll be happy just to get away with a win”.

Bit of a roller coaster ride today. As most games have been under Teague.

See I thought he was treacle slow of hand and mind. Poor on the spread and average by foot. If he was our sole inside midfielder it would be fine. But we have far superior players who do what he does

Good to get the win. We usually lose the games we’re expected to win, although not many of those in the past few years.

GC threw the kitchen sink at us today which makes sense considering they’ve been panned in the media and this was their last chance for a win this year. They beat us in the tough stats - tackles, contested footy and clearances. 90 tackles from them is elite as well and usually wins you games. Despite all that, we just did enough all day.

Jones fantastic after a lean few weeks. Ed keeps on going. Kennedy resurgence continues. Also thought Weiters was great today.

I’ll take any win after the last few years

Like many on here happy with the win but it was so frustrating.
I was worried all week about this game, one we were expected to win.
Didn't play our best but got the job done.
Cripps looked like he went over on his ankle in the first quarter, wasn't himself today.
The umpiring was baffling, not sure what the count was.
Anyway, a win is a win.
Players looked really tired in the last quarter.
