Amazing disarray in the AFL, not intentional is just about the only avenue not available to his defence.
McGovern a week for someone putting a deck chair on the ground.

It is the old " they are playing Carlton next week" defence.

I'll be fascinated to see whether the umpire who originally reported Walters and paid a free which would have gifted Melbourne a goal at a crucial time ( but for Jones' retaliatory stupidity) is dropped. If he is not, I'm smelling a rat. Being able to judge whether an action is intentional or not is Umpiring 101.

I knew one of them would get off tonight. Just didn't know which. They have to look like they are balanced. McGovern was stiff. Guelfi probably still in field of play and plastic chair caused injury. If security stood, no report

Have watched Freo quite a bit over the years. Walters is a gun player but he’s a flopper and plays for frees. Melb got in his head last week and he lost composure.

I hope he gets similar treatment from our boys this week.

I smell a rat too.

Walters called up for the 2nd time in 12 months for a similar offense.

I wonder what directions th AFL gave THAT umpire who reported what he saw, like I did.

I also wonder of THAT umpre is available for interview or he's at a Silberian Health farm.

Unsociable footy in his face works everytime.
Put him off his game.

Where's Franchina?
Do we have a Franchina tagger?

He was better than the self acclaimed "wog squad" at the Dogs, just cleaner.

If you elect to bump and head contact is made, even if it's accidental, it's an automatic MRO review and a fine or a suspension.
If you elect to pull a player towards you with the intention of grappling when the ball is nowhere to be seen and head contact is made, even 'accidental' it's a let off, even if it's your second offence.

Where is the consistency?

The constant is the AFL, that's all you need to know.

Jury verdict is Walters' headbutt wasn't intentional. He is clear to play Carlton on Sunday.

Of course he is.

Lock him in for 6 goals and 3 votes.

He accidentally moved his head forward in a vigorous motion. It definitely wasn’t a headbutt.

Jeremy's brother plays for you know who. Guilt by association.

I want to beat them with Walters and when they are as close as possible to full strength.
I’m sick of hoping for injuries and suspensions to give us a leg up.
Didn’t work in the 1994 finals and hasnt often worked since.

That would be nice, both teams competing with full strength sides.

Cripps missing is a bit scary, actually a lot scary. H could use a rest, hope they give Kerr a run.

This will be fun. Time for a few kids to come of age? Or a sizeable loss
