Disposal out of the backline is still a major concern. Plowman numerous turnovers

Plowman was exceptional today. If that's your only comment on his game, it's disappointing.

Why? We ditched him, not the other way 'round.

He was a smart arse. Mouthing off at our players. Clapping our defenders when they were outmarked.
He can well and truly @#$%&! off.

How much do you reckon the AFL will fine him?

I was absolutely livid halfway through the second quarter.

I'd mentally had enough of watching simple skill errors and blokes selling teammates into danger. We've all seen it week in, week out for the last 10+ years and I'd reached my breaking point, even broke the TV remote. I was almost ready to walk away from the club all together. I thought to myself "Geez, your coach of the last 4 years has just been sacked, you're being ridiculed in the media on a daily basis, and this is what you dish up?!"

The second half put a smile on my face and boy did I need it. Watching blokes play a much more attacking brand of footy and actually pressure the ball carrier was a delight. I think early on we were almost too focused on attacking and it was definitely hurting us with the decision making, they appeared to scale it back some which did the trick. Not sure whether this was a coaching decision or whether the players just switched on but it was great to see.

Cripps is on another level. Walsh will be a force in 2 years. Both Curnows turned it on and I thought Gibbons played his best game as a Blue. JSOS pressure was outstanding and Weitering was rock solid all day

Great win and a much needed win for all the fans, myself especially.

Teaguey said the boys figured it out by themselves in his presser.

Went to the game, half way through the second quarter I thought here we go again.
We didn't give up and kept persisting.
Walsh was amazing, hard to believe that was only his 12th game.
Cripps has to be the Brownlow favourite, he played a very special game today.
There weren't too many passengers, everyone played their part.
Amazing when you actually have a forward line structure that played like a forward line should.
Well done to the players, they deserve to enjoy tonight.
We even went to the bar and had a drink after the game.
Go Blues

If we’re two years behind the Lions, why is Rayner two years behind Walsh?

Didn’t know that Rayner was playing today.

Yet the media have commented on Dow, McKay, Curnow and our young players being disappointing.

Go figure.

7 disposals. Did he get injured?

I couldnt resist being at this game.
Best thousand bucks I've spent.

I expected something special.
So I took my son. Both Carlton mad.

All posts above have been a delight to read.
Glad all Bluebaggers are happy.
Pedestrians, trains, taxis restaurants.
Seems like Melbourne is really happy.
Carlton is good for Melbourne and for Bluebaggers around the world.

Thanks again Carlton.

I've seen a lot of Carlton siince my first Carlton game in 1968.
Cripps' performance today is nearly as good as the best I've seen.

A 1-10 team
Just sacked the coach
Down 40-3 against a team about to jump into the top 4

Sometimes it’s fun, even to say to yourself, that was fun. Otherwise what’s the point?

(And there nothing incorrect about what you said, but it’s fun to enjoy winning just a little and show it)

I love it when you have people say how you should feel
Mate do you want sustained success
Cripps’ game was off the charts
It means jack shit in the long run

Dow is only 19 yo
He got the nuts and turned into traffic 3 to himself, one
It was deliberate. He took them on.
He did it half a dozen times.

Used the ball well: to his strengths.
Lowered his eyes, or kicked it far into the right spot.
Like Cripps, he's an extractor, but with a burst of speed.

He only 19 yo

Big talking point at half time was Lachie Neale.

Would the coach see the need and getbEd on him.
Coaches made our dreams come good.
Coaches showed flexibility.
Common sense prevails.

As Teague said with honesty in the presser,
The assistant coaches were given the reigns.
Everyone was footy focussed, for a win.

The learnings from a win should not be undermined.
Process is good, but natural individual instincts bring out the best.
I like the human element in Teague philosophy.

Why? We ditched him, not the other way 'round.

One of the criticisms of Bolton that I thought was valid was his match day coaching. In particular a seeming reluctance to move a tag to a dominant player.

Well done to today's coaching staff for moving Curnow to Neale. I thought that probably made the difference.

BigKev, nothing to do with us being his ex club, more him being a total tool. Watch the “suck my dick” bake he gives Levi when McStay kicks the first in the 3rd quarter.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves as we always do... I thought we were terrible today.....School kids who can't even hit a target within 20m....

How many times did we turn it over? It just shows the poor skills our boys posses. Cripps who is on a different level than the entire team won this game off his own boots. If we don't learn from today's new game style, the doggies will beat us by 10 goals...

One of the things that put a smile on me is a New Game Style... Finally..........I truly believe it won us the Game! We need to carry today's 2nd half into the rest of the season

This Game style proved to me that Bolts was a failure as a Coach... He was naive and lacked experience....Teague made one big change to the game Style. He made it compulsory for at least one big forward to remain deep inside 50, no matter what happens during the game. This meant that when we had hold of the ball, we can kick it to a target... we no longer had to dance around the middle then turn it over because we had no one to kick it to.

How many times in Bolt's time we see the ball kicked to a small because all the talls were outside of the 50? This will never happen again and should not happen.

I’d image the youngsters would have been very hesitant and unsure feeling the enormous pressure again in the 1st half.
Very difficult circumstance for the novice coach too, and it showed.
As everyone got a feel of the change the freedom and passion showed.
We’ll definitely win a few more games.
