Carlton description of day uninspiring, never in the hunt, panic kicks from backline landing in bombers hands, do we even know forward craft? Fowards were chasing kicks and marks anywhere but the forward line, individuals team (playing for themselves not the team).

I have never seen a worse kicking team.

The reason we had such poor uncontested numbers was because we can’t hit a target and turn what should be an uncontested posies into either an contested possession or a turnover.

And why someone can’t see McKay pulls all his shots to the right defies belief.img][/img]

I had purchased two tickets via “Telstra Thanks” a few weeks back for this game - other half is sidelined with a cold/flu so didn’t want to attend the game. I had the option to attend myself or on-sell the tickets to someone that may have wanted to sit on the wing on Level 4, hindsight is a wonderful thing and I’m glad I wasn’t there to witness this sh!tshow in person.

I’m actually embarrassed to be a supporter of this club - even when watching the game the white line fever of my youth is no longer present and there isn’t that emotional connection to support anymore.

Best of luck to the marketing team at the club trying to sell hope to the masses.

Don't worry about Paddy Dow. 21 possessions, 5 clearances, 5 tackles. 2nd most stoppages in our team today from a 2nd year player.
The hardest part is winning the footy and he is very good at that and his burst is the cream. Good players can adapt with average footskills. The 2 captains out there today are perfect examples.
He'll be a very, very good AFL player.

In fact today and not for the first time, our forward entries were simply marking practice for Essendon* defenders.

Our on ball brigade was thrashed again.Killed around the stoppages again.That makes it real tough for your backline and for that matter your forward line.Can anybody read the flight of the ball ? cannot they anticipate ball movement around stoppages ? we got killed in the loose ball get stakes which is caused through lack of run................a debacle for mine.

Can't think of a coach with a similar record who has survived for this long

There's being patient and seeing progress

And then there's Bolton who has masqueraded as a senior coach and hidden behind management speak with no results

As Bolts said in the presser, age profile. We haven't got the experience into these guys as yet. It can turn around quickly when things come together, but for now its all about growing this group. The losses make it harder for sure, but the process cannot be denied. I don't think there's any issues internally. Carlton as a club made the decision to a ground up rebuild. Talk of sacking Bolton is OLD Carlton, and for the last 20 years has got us nowhere. We must stick to the plan and back the coach until we succeed. We've got some good talent, and I'm certain we'll develop what we have over the next few years. A team with an average 150 game experience is what we're aiming for. We'll never achieve this with a high turnover list. We've just got to dig in and keep plugging away. The game against Collingwood and a half against Hawthorn gives a little glimmer of what's over the horizon. I still have faith if we stick to the plan and not go back to the old Carlton that sacks coaches.

But the never ending losses are destroying them as a group. You can see it on the park....they know they'll lose. It's a loop that won't be broken just by getting games into them. Forget about history, we need to move forward and fast, or we die as a club.

Bolts said that cripps played a sacrificial role today, with a view to bringing other mids into the game. would love to know what it was.

Kinda wondering if they genuinely care about winning.

I’m so confused by this club.

We trade our first pick and then seem to be writing the year off at round 11.
