is it true Carlton has been issued a please explain by the AFL for the cheer squad chanting you are a wanker?

with everything else, that has happened this year, this is seriously to the point, where the club has to do something ... be that a sit in, a boycott or whatever, but that is utter bullshit.

i cant even comprehend why we as a club have been singled out for this .. every club would do this, ever round, its beyond comprehension ... and the club has to respond ... to just accept this is the end of the club IMO.

the amount of decisions and outcomes that are clearly against us, is beyond a joke now ... this demands actions from the club if its true ...

umpires, hence the afl has issued it.

this is really upsetting me for some reason.

it honestly feels like we are a punching bag and are constantly made "an example" off ... and im flower sick of it.

Channel 7 news saying it is true.
We have been issued a please explain from the Collingwood game. You know the game where we were screwed over by the umpires and received one third of the frees that Collingwood did.
The cheersqad were chanting you are a wanker towards the incompetent umpires, something that has been going on for as long as I can remember.
It is clear the AFL has an agenda against Carlton, we know this for certain now.

Never convinced of this statement - but if you look at the bigger picture, there's no one involved in the games admin (afl senior exec/commission etc), nor any 'mover and shaker' (media/footy ops/player/ex-player) who is a Carlton person. You'd eventually get to Judd (not really respected) and Sellers McClure (not taken seriously) and they'd be somewhere outside the top 100.

So it's not that there is an agenda, it's that there's no one around who is remotely influential who gives two hoots about Carlton.

Correct - and the next step is we become as irrelevant to the game as Fitzroy became in the early 90’s, which was only 50 years from their last and 8th premiership in 1944, (when statistically they were the most successful side in the VFL).

We are halfway there.

Here's what they're saying .....

“What happened is, they were using an instrument (drums) during the match, and they know they are not allowed to, because when they got approval at the start of the season, it was to be used after goals and not during play,’’ an AFL spokesman said.

“They were asked to stop by a match-day official and they didn’t. They used it in their chant, umpire you’re w***er."

Looks like the drums took it over the edge. No drums this week .... just the chant (unplugged).

The cheer squad can issue a please explain for clearing Mumford.

Umpires can suck it up if they don’t like being held to account. The AFL wants people to umpire, yet they can’t defend incompetence.

Cheersquads have a lot of die hards who lack the mental faculties to hold back and identify what’s right and wrong. Carlton can’t lock them out of games.

AFL hauled away a child without representation after she racially abused Goodes.

There could've been "boo-ing" involved too. At the football of all places! :eek:
