Our win % last year was 9.1%. So far this year we're at 12.5%.

Who can complain about that? #greenshoots

Given the umpiring department always try to balance things out over a season, we banked 16 frees on the weekend. Woo hoo!

Coach said we have the most iconic jumper in the league.

1864: Founding member of VFA, VFL & AFL.

Carlton ..... 23 Premierships

Drug cheats..... 21 Premierships.

The past does count.
I'm counting on a future of sustained success.

It will happen....just look at the list.

Umpires will honour frees when we are higher on the ladder: that's the way it works.

GWS won by 105 last time we played.
Today by 93.
That’s what I call improvement

At that rate we will beat them in about 8 years.

Gosh.

What happened?

GWS on a rebound was absoluteley resolute and formidable opponent.

Someone rang me at the gorund and said the problem isn't that we play kids against men.

Holy Moly... did anyone see the size difference in the centre square, aside from Cripps?

We got monstered because of the weight difference and also shows how important it is having a dominant tap ruckman in those situations.
Mumford nullified Kreuzer in the ruck. Only saw Kreuzer ruck rove his tap 3 times, and the rest of the tme got monstered by their mids.

The GWS are quick, highly skilled and daring with their run and quick hands.

I think we have the personnel for the future, but not for the day.

LOB is lost out there.
Dow is fumbly.
SPS got monstered.
Fish got brushed aside.

Then they all went into their shell bereft of any confidence.

Kicking the ball into the mark.
Hitting their players with when we had a break.
We gave it away.

Is that the coach?
Is that the personnel?

I asked myself over and over again..is it the game plan and therefore the coach?
If we had an attacking game plan we dont have the speed teams like GWS has.
How did we nearly beat Collingwood last week? hawks a coupe of weeks ago.

I actually dont like the way we set up, and I dont like our chip hold, chip hold game plan when we are still stuck in the backline and then give it back in the centreline.

No one knows what the answer is.
I guess like every other bad loss, we look to the next round against Saints.
FMD. We need a win or 2.
Other than sort of big bodied Kennedy, the cupboard is bare.

Mark MacLure reckoned we've had a worse 20 years than St Kilda did when they went on a spoon rampage.

Compared 1970-1989 St Kilda to 2000-2019 Carlton.

St Kilda played 450 games winning 34%
We've played 448 games winning 37.72%

Sorry Sellars. We're much better!
