Disagreeing with you is actually different to trolling but I get the irony of my post above

So I’ll get back on topic and say I am so sick of losing players during a game. It’s just sheer luck I guess but I’m over it!!!! Is it too much to ask to have everybody run out the game??? I thought fish was having a real strong influence up until he hurt his leg.

It appears to happen to us more so than any other team. But I am sure the stats would prove that wrong.

It is more a case of the players being beat up

Interesting.

So Syd disagreeing with you = trolling, but you disagreeing with Syd isn't.

I see. Carry on.

Nah Syd doesn’t troll me. I get annoyed when he is over the top negative and I usually jump in to ask a cheeky question or two. It’s usually the annoyance of the loss that exaggerates my frustration. But this is where we come to complain so I promise to behave

Seeing we have this Misery Guts thread for all us realist.
And we have the worry room for those who are struggling to face reality.

I think it only fair we start a Sugar Coaters thread for all those posters who can't actually come to terms with the fact we are 1 and 7 coming off a 2 win season and all they can cling on to is that our % is far better than last year despite the fact that scoring has fallen off a cliff .
We need this sugar coaters thread so they can all go in there and talk about positives and green shoots while all us Misery Guts who can actually see reality can stay here.

We need to go over yesterday's game in context.
We have just come off an embarrassing defeat to North.
Players were trotted out during the week saying what an unacceptable effort it was.
By mid week we had the President of our opponents come out and say we should look for a new coach and even nominated one for us.
This game was a celebration of one of the greatest rivalries in world sport and we were remembering the 1979 grand final.
We play the game and with 5 minutes to go we are up by 11 points.
It didn't matter that they were older had more experience or played finals. The simple fact was we had matched them and bettered them for 115 minutes.
Then over a period of 5 minutes we allowed them to get 5 goals when after 115 minutes they only managed 11.
After the game their coach said his boys wanted it more.

How can that be the boys were humiliated the previous week ,their coach had been made fun off by the opposition.

How can they be in this position and not want it more than the Collingwood player's.

I will tell you why . It's because it doesn't matter if we win. Effort is good enough.
And by the reaction of supporters across here and all the media the coaches the club itself yesterday is an acceptable result because they at least tried

WTF Sydney Blue?. Yesterday’s result was not acceptable by any stretch.

Great point SB. Scoring has fallen off a cliff yet Carton’s average per game has risen by 20%. Maybe you aren’t as negative as everybody says. Cheers.
