Who are we bringing Goddard in to defend?

Weiters for Reid.
You have Mihocek, Elliot, deGoey, Thomas, Stephenson and a resting mid.
We need small defenders not talls.

100% agree
Just because we are losing a tall defender, doesn't mean we have to bring in a tall defender to replace him.
Especially when the opposition only one tall forward and we already have 3 tall defenders in the side.

Yes, I’d be happy to go in with one less tall in defence.
Bring in another runner instead.

We need to put an old fashioned hard tag on DeGoey from the warmup to the ice baths or he's going to rip us apart.

If we get into a shootout with them, we'll lose. It needs to be a lockdown rolling maul - showers predicted, hopefully a slippery ball will help.

Agree about turning the match into a scrap.

Hopefully Marchbank will wear De Goey like a glove all day, I can see him turning Plowman inside out a bit too easily.

I’d also suggest tagging Pendlebury, Treloar, Beams and probably Grundy too!

I was watching a Saints game last year and I said to myself
@#$%&! if Goddard becomes available let’s hope he doesn’t come to us

And guess what
Looks like he will be getting a game

Fair enough
His form warrants it
He will replace the beast

But be warned
He moves about as fast as a glacier on tranquilsers

Bugg didn’t work
Wasn’t he from GWS?

Let’s give Hugh a go
But only on Reid

Sidebum. I don't necessarily agree with what we've done the last few weeks but we've been tagging the opposition's best outside mid instead of their inside mid so I reckon if LOB plays he'll definitely have a shut down role on Sidebottom.

Beauty about footy is no matter how bad you play there is always next week. And hear it is against our oldest of foes the Pies...............fair dinkum, after that debacle against North,if they can't lift for this then they may as well chuck it in forever...................despite being bitterly disappointed in that pathetic effort last week i still have faith in this group.Hopefully it was the Barry Crocker we had to have...................the Pies had an electric first quarter last week but were then matched by Port after that.......ditto against the Bombers...............SO,by my reckoning the Pies have played two good quarters out of there last eight.Reckon there midfield despite there star studded status aint travelling overly impressively...................thats where they can be exploited. If there is ever a time for PetSet and Paddy Dow to announce themselves on the big stage this is it.Make a name for yourselves boys, the class of 79 will be watching.................same goes for Harry and Charles, show 'em what you got................no matter what boys, get in for the aggott first, don't take your eyes off that ball.

If it’s dry and Collingwood are on
we will be smashed

It seems that Geelong Collingwood and GWS
Are the 3 best teams at the minute

We haven’t played anyone really decent

My prediction is Bolton will go ultra defensive to avoid
a blowout
We have nobody to carry the ball quickly out of defence

Cunningham is one of the few who can carry the ball quickly
Pace and beautiful kick
Problem is when it’s hot he goes missing

Happy to cop all the shit in the world if we even have an honourable loss
and play attacking footy

So who are you watching this year that you hope doesn't come to us???
Your hindsight is legendary.
Also when the draft is on this year could you post which player you would take with our LIVE pick so i don't have to read your 20/20 hindsight crap the year after.

Keogh will be disappointed, no Goddard.

what does Bugg from gws have to do with Goddard from St Kilda? Or am I wasting my time assuming it'll make sense?

Just start with “SOS = shit” and work backwards.

Great selections. Here's hoping this is the game Setterfield shows us what he's made of.

Handy outs for Collingwood too.
