Did we get ahead of ourselves after last week?

We've lost to 4 of the bottom 5 who aren't us.

No Kreuzer, no Carlton.

I’ve supported / defended Levi strongly on this website for years but that’s enough. I don’t need to see him in the navy blue again.

True, but still a @#$%&! indictment.

The failure to properly prepare long and short-term succession for a perennially-injured player is the biggest failing of the list management and coaching groups.

How we can continue to be unprepared every time Kreuzer is injured is @#$%&! baffling and infuriating. Do they expect he'll just start magically playing every week unhindered??

It all starts in the middle.

Without Kreuzer we were already behind the eight ball.

But irrespective of his absence our inability or refusal or whatever excuse to get numbers at the contest was the start of the rot. Is this the players or was the coach out coached?

That's where it started and ended. You could see it straight away. Players not hunting the ball. All of them sitting back.

My concern is it took Bolton more than two quarters to address this problem. And by then the game was over. In fact it was over before quarter time such was our complete lack of organisation around contests, something that has been happening all year, the Swans game a great example.

I'm not sure our coaching panel is much chop to be honest

And if it's bit this problem it's our inability to halt the opposition's momentum, see last week. I really don't see the players learning much, or learning quickly enough.

60 inside 50s to 39, what a pounding. Cam Zuurhar isn't even a good player but when you give your forwards that much opportunity anyone can score.

Bullied and outnumbered around the packs early which meant all those downhill skiers they have on the outside had heaps of supply.

The kangas worked hard all day - terrific spread. Great pressure - this has to sit with the players

However, this issue is not new. I’m over the excuses. The trend has to sit with the coaching panel.

Levi epitomizes where we are as a football club. Anybody with any football knowledge at all could see he has no football smarts about him. I used to be critical of Setanta and his lack of awareness but Setanta was twice the player that Levi is.
Levi has been hanging around taking a spot on the list now for 8 plus years. We have kept him because on the odd occasion he looks like a world beater.
And he along with many that go through the club who show potential but they never live up to it.
We turn potential super stats into good average players and some poor.
There is a mind set that near enough is good enough and they keep thinking that all we have to do is keep putting these young blokes on the park then hey Presto we have a champion team that will win the flag.

As Trump said we need to drain the swamp

Alot worse than him on the ground today. He was reasonable at least. Would've been better if he kicked 3.0 rather than 0.3 but he was getting it and marking it at least.

You can see why the rest of the league don’t want to bottom out, you end up with a horribly unbalanced list profile and no chance to attract quality, in a time of free agency it’s a slow death sentence.
I actually expected worse considering the loss of experience through injury.
It was another men v boys circa 2017/18 semi intense training drill.
Couple of guys I’d rather not watch wear the jumper are Levi, Plowman and Murphy without a spell to regain some form/interest. That said we still need a team of 22 to run out next week so maybe they have to stay.
Big concerns about our player development, again there is probably just too many being developed at the same time with our list profile.

And we are going really bad if we have to rely on Trumpisms.
