"Could Carlton be closer to a flag than Hawthorn"
Well, I hope he's right but his track record as recently as late last year includes...

"Wayne Carey believes Carlton should trade their number one pick this offseason for three Melbourne fringe players: Tomas Bugg, Dom Tyson and Sam Frost"

So I won't cancel my late September holiday just yet...

Don't think so at least Hawthorn have a go every week even if they aren't very good can't say that about our side who even after a loss don't seem to have the want to redeem themselves

No one should be seduced by talented players who pick and choose when they show effort

We'll get some effort rebound against Collingwood (like we did after the GC game). But the group has a nasty habit of feeling relatively content after competitive losses.

A couple of weeks too late

Eleni Glouftsis has become the latest field umpire to be dropped by the AFL in the wake of poor performances.

The Age understands Glouftsis will umpire in the VFL this week, following a string of poor decisions, including two crucial errors in the St Kilda versus West Coast clash last Saturday night, which resulted in two goals to the Eagles.

She needs to go back to the bush. Not up to VFL level either.
Has cost us 2 games this year, needs to learn her craft at the lower levels under less pressure. This quota bullshit by having a female umpiring is fine IF they are up to the standard. SHE IS NOT.

Her work is done.
