He plays and we definitely get smashed. Flakey as all hell and plays with zero belief and limited skills. We need zip but not dud players. Hopefully Willo is ready. And we need Kennedy to take some of the heat off Crippa.

We've already got Murphy to play that role.

Don’t give a flying F#%£ - what Hawthorn did a few weeks ago - it’s what we’ve done over the past 15 years that’s the issue - we engender no fear or respect to the opposition- the opposition always believe they are in with a chance against us.

Won’t change until we command some respect, won’t change until we consistently start to win games like these.

It's like a father playing table tennis with his 8 year old son.
He allows the kid some latitude to provide him encouragement even though he is just using this time to get in practice to play his mates on Friday night.
The kid can't play on Friday night as every one gets bored and goes home early if he does
The father knows he can beat the kid 7 nil but he allows him to think he is a chance and even lets him get in front or occasionally win but really the father can whip him at will.
The boy runs in to tell mum he lost 21 -19 This time and the mother thinks he is getting better which he is . But all this practice against the father is making him better too.
Won't be long before the nasty dad comes along and smashes the kid and destroys his confidence

North will set themselves for this one. Today’s terrible loss will hurt big time. They have no belief and until they get it will under-achieve. Murphy must be dropped, he is is baggage from our losing period and is so negative when it matters.

In: Curnow, Kennedy.
Out: Murphy, Casboult

So were the injuries to simmo Kreuzer Newman not too bad then?

Take a guess how many teams played this weekend believing they were in with a chance against whoever they were playing?

I’ll help you out. THEY ALL DID!!! :donk:

I’m generally pretty positive and I am happy with the progress we are making BUT I’ve had enough of Plowman. He lets us down week after week. His decision making is terrible and he directly cost us a minimum of 2 goals that spring to mind and probably more. Happy to see him dropped for Willo or McCreadie or Stoker or somebody when any of those three bangs down the door.

I was asking in a metaphorical sense, as per your story, where presumably the master eventually gets beaten by the new Master.

We just know it is going to happen, we are so predictable.
We have come off 6 good games, could have and should have won the last 3 of them.
We are ripe for a belting, this will likely be the week.
There are some teams we just don't beat, North are one of them.
Hope I am wrong.

Got a bad feeling about this one

17 years of mediocrity can do this to you

North will be primed for this game

It's been a long while since they won a wooden spoon

we will smash them.

And it will help
A bit... to ease the pain of yesterday.

If Kreuzer and Curnow Charlie get up , agree with you, the residual frustration from yet another honorable loss will fuel a mighty win for the Baggers.

Pretty sure people have been predicting a bad loss for about the last 3 weeks. Spirit must be broken, this always happens to us etc, etc. Hasn't happened yet, don't see it happening this week.

Bag me for not being all apocalyptic but I think we've clearly improved on last year. Our best footy is a lot better than anything we've seen under Bolton. Our worst is still a concern. I thought the second quarter was a positive yesterday, beaten in overall play but defence held up very well and we won the quarter. The inability to slow it down and stem the bleeding in the third was worrying.

People have been predicting blowouts each week and even blowouts in games. It’s not happening because we are better team this year. Even the Moran award hasn’t really fired up yet. Jones on Brown so he won’t be an issue.

Why would North be anymore fired up than us? We will win this.
