Eye can't lie. BB.
Aye.
wept a little I did. sat down in my seat and gave thanks whilst those around me jumped and yelled with joy.

something else...we sat next to a bunch of young footballers from Ringwood squad. All CFC supporters. Their passion and that of the 3 tiny kids yelling and jumping with the crowd made it even better.
Onward and upwards.

Apart from Walsh goal, McKay run and carry (to miss), my favourite play was 16min to go in the 3rd when we went coast to coast. Even though Crippa dropped the mark it was great linking football all the way to Casboult in the square.

Much better system this week.

Switched the ball across the ground more and less kicking along the line to contests.

Forwards given space to lead into and mids kicking to their advantage.

The young leaders were the drivers - Crippa Weiters Samo Fish Walshy Harry - that's the best bit about the game

Hi Bondi. Dow is actually still a teenager

You beat me to it v

Turns 20 two weeks after he accepts his Norm Smith medal this year

PS. Dow reminds me of a VERY young Cotchin. Cotchin came of age at about 25. Reckon Dow will be beat that by a couple of years

I thought we were a real chance against Gold Coast, and this week I was obviously less convinced, but felt they had reached a tipping point.

The vision of Daisy, in particular, and the shattered team after the game last week spoke volumes.

I wouldn't be surprised if the club had a robust discussion during the week and draw a line in the sand to say "ENOUGH!!"

We grew as a team enormously yesterday...

TOTALLY AGREE
I made a comment last week that now that the GC game was out of the way, we may play differently...and maybe it was also a 'line in the sand' game internally as you said
Would love the blues to win the 8+ games I was hoping for and to identify the GC game as the one that changed everything for coaches and players

Also...did anybody else notice how BBs presser included acknowledgement for Amos, Teague, Bruce and Barker?

Reckon that was deliberate to solidify the football dept even more

Not gonna analyse the game.Just soak it up and enjoy...............well,i will analyse a little bit.I reckon we have played the same in all games. This time everything fell into place.Bit of tweaking here and there but not much more.Luck also was on our side.............there is something standing out big time and that is we have the making's of a very good side for a long time.

I reckon you’ve summed it up perfectly there Mick

I hope the players have started thinking about next week by now. Just as we shouldn’t read too much into our competitive losses, we shouldn’t get carried away with yesterday’s win.

Agree with you Mickstar.
Need to back it up with a good performance against the Hawks next week.

Yeah I got something in my eye when Cas kicked that thumping goal 52m from the left pocket.

So happy for him, a much maligned player.

It always helps any game plan when we don't fumble and hit targets most of the time. I though LOB struggled in the fumbling department.

How did the Bont get a point - young Hayes was the standout for them. should have been a clean sweep to the blues
