AFL tables only go back so far. This team still managed exactly the same scoreline we did last weekend!

I don't recall that one Tommi but it sounds like a Karl Norman/Laurence Angwin activity. Both had enormous ability.

Angwin was the most talented 20yo I’ve ever seen and comfortably the most agile big man who ever played AFL.

He was around back when I used to make it to training on a semi regular basis and the stuff he used to do was mind boggling.

We never saw much of that in a real game but I remember his first(?) goal for us (I think against West Coast) where he marked maybe 65-70 out on the right HF flank and instead of looking up and trying to spot a player downfield he ran straight at the player on the mark, baulked around him and slotted it.

Absolute talent, arrogance and lack of fear.

Could have been one of the greatest Carlton players ever but unfortunately it takes more than just talent.

He played some amazing footy in Northern Queensland. Gifted but not mentally equipped to play at the highest level

This was the game https://finalsiren.com/MatchDetails.asp ... 6d31af286f

I'm sure the goal you are talking about was on youtube but I can't find it.

Never forget his pre season match against Richmond in 2004 at Princes Park. IIRC Blue Vain and moshe were there watching too.

Thanks Effes.

I looked it up. It was his second game and he kicked two the week before against Melbourne.

Absolute freak talent.

I remember the wraps on him and posters couldn't work out why he wasn't getting a game.
