Great day for me. The game starts at 10:10 pm!
I can't see us winning unless something drastic changes in the way we move the footy in the front half of the ground.
We needed an injection of pace this week. Dogs are #1 for transition from D50 to F50.
If we didn't learn anything from last week in terms of the forward setup, someone in the coaching dept needs reaming.

It's the same mantra for me.
Move the footy and use the corridor. We don't have the skills to play chippy chippy and break the record for OOBOTF every week. It's fine to control the footy and set up the attack but just bombing it long to Levi or Kreuzer on the wing and then bombing it long into the F50 where there aren't any forwards doesn't work.

This week I am going to count the 'play ons' from a mark. If you watched Essendon* and Richmond..... Well you'll know what I mean.

It's a winnable game but they need to play 4 quarters and be a bit daring when it's called for. Looking forward to the Cripps/Bont battle.

Without Charlie, Mckay will be forced to play up the ground leaving McGovern to be our deep forward. It's a shame because McGovern isn't any good for 80% of the game.

McGovern just torped a goal from around 65 metres in the warm up.

How Polson gets a game ahead of Kennedy is mind-blowing. A small forward who's ave 9PPG and .25 goals PG over 15 games.

Read my comments in VFL report.
Different roles, different players.

Polson and Gibbons doing front and centre drills during the warm - nailing 95% of the snaps both left and right.

So we rushed Charlie back too early last week?
Not a good look.

Is that a fact or are you just speculating?

A small forward who jags a quarter of a goal per game isn't playing his role, IMO.

He might not be playing his role but Kennedy is a midfielder, not a forward so unfortunately we don’t have a suitable replacement.

Wonder if it was a good idea for Curnow to go surfing during the week with a sore knee?
