brilliant strategy !

Yep I really struggle to understand why the MC thought it would be a good idea to go in with 4 tall forwards.
I really struggle with the 4 tells and yet the main targets in the forward 50 was Gibbons and ED
Selection of 4 talls mysterious
Selection of 4 tells and having your 2 smalls as the hit up targets.
Only a flawed genius could think of that

Surely we'll win the ruck in this game. Surely...

Hopefully Cunningham is back and we drop one of the talls. Levi is the obvious one, but I wonder if we need to drop Charlie or Harry? Charlie has seriously regressed this season. Neither of them are able to play 2nd ruck. I would probably drop Levi (bring in SOJ if Cunningham is unavailable) and try McGovern as the 2nd ruck.

If Kreuzer or Phillips are ready, I would bring either one in for Lobbe.

So-

In: Cunningham/SOJ, Kreuzer/Phillips
Out: Casboult, Lobbe

Gibbons & LOB are on thin ice, but there’s not a lot of running options in the reserves. To be fair to Gibbons, I watched him closely at times today and he does work hard. We seemed to determined to make him into a key position player though

I thought Levi was far better than Harry.

Harry played as though he wasn't interested.

From memory this was the reason he wasn't elevated to the seniors much last year too. Maybe he needs a reminder for a week.

Today was always the 'spotlight' game
Yes we failed, but you know what, 2 other teams have also failed against GC this year
Maybe the media got them a littkle wrong

Not making excuses...we really are staring down the barrel of another spoon BUT...

Maybe, just maybe now that we got the GC game out of the way, the mental hurdles of 'must win must win must win' may dissipate and we play with more freedom, dash and daring

Maybe we can beat the Dogs and NM in the next 3 weeks

Just keeping myself sane with some hope...you know, that same hope that Andy DuFresne had in Shawshank

Harry's form and attitude in the last 2 weeks is a stark contrast to his first 2 weeks. It is no coincidence that this happened when Levi returned.
Next week
Out Levi Lobbe Setterfield (susp)
In Kruez JSos Kennedy

Another honourable coming up because it is a winnable game

Lost to the dogs by 20 points twice last season in a couple of honourable losses which is our forte

In front in both those games so expect that to happen because we will be really fired up because we have had 4 honourable losses this year but when the whips are cracking the Bont hunter McRae or Libby will get them across the line

Look for Caleb Daniel to star accumulating possessions at will and taking marks as we hit him up going into the forward line

This side doesn't win in March or April so not ready to win yet that one just around the corner

These losses are going to pay us back in spades apparently just waiting for payback

Another long and dispiriting season at 0-4

We'll probably startle everybody and win. Kreuz will be back..
Soon Williamson will replace Plow.
Cunners must be close..and then we have Lang and Kennedy to consider.

I think we can, and if we do this would probably get us off the bottom of the ladder as I doubt North will win their next two matches against Essendon* and Port (away). I'm not resigned to us winning the spoon just yet - North are pretty ordinary.
Also we might be a shot against the Hawks in Rd 6 as well.

Out: Levi, Setters, Lobbe,
In: JSOS, Kreuz, Kennedy,

If anyone can replace Gibbons, he’d be an out too.

There can only be two outcomes to this game in my opinion:

Outcome one: We will bounce back and learn from last week's game and Beat the Dogs

Outcome two: We will be flogged by 60+ Points, and prove that last week's loss was too much to bare....

Outcome two must spell the end for Bolton... He has to go if he does not change his horrible Game plan

I'm no Levi fan but I'd be dropping Charlie first. In desperate need of an attitude adjustment.

Hopefully Cuningham is OK to go. He is a big asset to our forward line. Dynamic, skilful and kicks goals.
I'm not sure what Charlies issue is. He's been quality since day 1 but he's off the boil since the first hit out this season. Not holding his marks, not presenting like he has and failing to have an impact.

Perhaps Charlie and Harry don't like McGovern entering their domain. Personally, I wasn't in favour of chasing McGovern but credit to him, he's showing much more than the other 2 at the moment.
Hopefully Charlie is carrying a niggle. You don't wish injury on players but at least that would go towards explaining his form.

Seems a mental issue to me.
Fumbling marks...as an example.

Who would have thought preseason that Cunningham would become so important to us?
But his JKT fwd line craft is exactly what we’re missing. Could have tipped the scales in a few games.
Let’s hope his body can stand up.

No, don’t feel any better today. Have become a bit numb to the many hits over recent years but this one really, really hurts.

Just have to hope they keep cracking in and somehow, somewhere discover a bit of polish. The fear is it goes the other way and there’s a smashing just around the corner. Think the former.

Taking solace in the form of the two key backs - great to have you back Weiters - and the kid wearing 18. He’s a freak.

If only one or two of the other kids could take the next step. Sure they will but we need it now.

Really disappointed with Harry and charlie’s games.
McGovern will always come and go in games but he’s paying his way.

Another long week.

The umpire's favourite team over one of their least favourite. We will strangle them but their classy midfielders and Gowers will be too much

Its no secret that Bolton is trying hard to avoid heavy defeats, thus hiding the deficiencies that we have by playing an ultra defensive Game!

This is not working......... GO all in attack.... Play an attacking Game... Screw us if we concede 20 Goals, but for God's sake, get some score on board.....Play on at all Costs, run all day and stop chipping the ball....Sick of this bullshit 6-8 Goal a Game!
