Unfair for Jones & Weitering in defence.

Play so many talls and still have Gibbons as our Target up forward.

To a point, but sometimes you can only get what you can get. We missed out on Shiel who would've helped as a bigger body in the middle today.

Pros:

Jones, Weitering, Cripps, Walsh, Murphy, McGovern.
Lobbe's 2nd half.
LOB was better.
SPS after quarter time.
Newman.

Cons:

Feel sorry for Cripps. Trying to carry this side over the line. But too many of our players don't know how to win.
4 weeks in a row we've been shafted in forward 50 zones. 3-4 free kick goals to the opposition. But they won't give us anything in our forward line.
Really, really puzzled by the decision to play 4 tall forwards. Clearly ran out of puff late in every quarter. Surely if SOJ and Kennedy and Stocker aren't ready, they can find someone on the list to play a role.
Charlie's hands have been rubbish all year.
Dow's confidence with ball in hand.
Ed missed a soda late that would have sealed it.

Dow = Tambling
Bolton = dead coach walking .
He’s finally lost me today.
Crap gameplan
Nonsensical team selection

Bolton has to go. Whether it’s his fault or not there has to be a change and unfortunately for him sacking the coach is the most obvious outcome.

The club need a circuit breaker

We were getting flogged by 10 goals not too long ago - remember those days? Yes losing by 2 points hits hard, but perspective matters. We are improving. Our loses are close, frustrating for sure, but not 10 goal beatings. That's improvement. We'll start winning these close games eventually. Summed up we've been a bit unlucky to be four/zip and our future looks promising at long last.

What about Levi rucking down in the goal square twice instead of marking the ball? Even he can kick goals from 5 meters out. And never mind kicking Ed . He kicked 4 last week. Charlie is the one with the yips right now. He needs to see the counsellor Weiters went to.

I feel ill. We have become the worst club in the history of the AFL/ VFL. Think of how bad st kilda were in the 80s. Think of how bad Sydney were in the early 90s. We are worse. The Carlton football club is [REDACTED].

Ed Curnow had the chance to win it.

Oh well, another honourable spoon coming our way.

Ed Curnow's miss, Gibbons 3 points, Dow's inability to finish (goal or pass).

So many positive elements let down by poor skill.

It hurts a lot. We are the club as much as the players and coaches and admin.

I don’t know what’s worse, the sick feeling caused by that loss or the sinking feeling caused by the trouble ‘n strife saying “It’s only a game”

At least we are providing great fun for opposition supporters peeping in at the fallout for larks.

Fair point! It probably would've been a more palatable loss if the players were actually hitting their targets and not dropping the ball as much.

Gibbons was pretty good today. Despite the fact we keep treating him like our main marking forward.

Curnow, E....must go ASAP. Terrible error from Dow but he's the future. Teague as forward coach has some questions to answer. 3 times in that last 10 mins we signalled that we were kicking into the hole for Gibbons but sat it up for him to get smashed when we had Gov and H there.

His brother was no better. One grab is not in his dictionary. Needs to lift.

Pack her bags.
Not good enough.
You need 'there-thereing' and brandy.

The club is on its knees (again)

There has been no progression under Bolton

Has been pretty obvious for a while

Won't survive beyond this year

Back to the drawing board Blues

Except he kicked 3 behinds and gave 4 free kicks away....not good enough.
