Anyone else wondering what our problems are should watch that game. A game plan, ball movement, a committed team, discipline around the stoppages. Yep they got tired and almost lost.

Seriously almost lock us in for the spoon.

Why would anyone assume we would win next week after GC have beaten Freo & the Dogs

Well it takes time to sink in if you haven't seen them. Same with the Lions.

Not a chance if Kreuzer isn’t playing. Lobbe or Philips will get slaughtered.

Phillips is far better suited against Witts. He's too big for Kreuzer and dominates him.

Carlton are now favourite to finish bottom of the ladder.

It’s probably a pointless conversation as it’s unlikely Kreuzer will play. But I will take what Kreuzer gives around the ground especially drifting back to what the other two have dished up so far.

I'm hoping that we can finish above North maybe one or two others. The Suns have been punching above their weight and I think their form will drop off soon.....hopefully against us next week.
The Stocker trade isn't looking great at the moment.

I actually think it's an advantage for us that GC won again. Our loss and their win will mean there will be none of the complacent 'just turn up and we should get the win' crap we've had the last 2 years in our early games against GC.

I suspect the venue also, strangely enough, gives us an advantage. We're rubbish at Marvel. But we've won our last 2 at Metricon.

nah it isn't ... the last reports i heard was stocker was a long way off it, too.

if stocker was ready to go out of the gates, i'd feel different. but the fact our scouts knew he was a long way off it (in regards to stamina) makes me wonder what we were thinking. especially in a draft where there were some really handy small forwards (imo, our number 1 need).

We have the worst small fwds in the comp....apologies to Ed who is a playing well.

O’Brien looks ok with ball in hand but we could do with Higgins, selected a few picks later.

Not worried about the Stocker Trade especially with Adelaide not starting too flash.
Andrew Russell will get him ripped and AFL ready. No panic stations. Look at the patience teams like the Hawks have with their kids, but we seem to panic if they’re not ready for senior footy straight away. Relax.
It’s heavily rumoured that our first rounder this will be traded away for an established A Grader anyway.

If we can convince an established A Grader to come to Carlton.

If we can convince McGovern and almost get Shiel in a year we were an utter joke onfield, and weren’t prepared to trade our first pick, then anything is possible.

With father/sons and academy selections our pick from Adelaide could well be in the low 20’s, hardly an attractive bargaining chip come trade period.

Gold Coast won the taps 71-19 against the Dogs. They lost the centre clearance though 14-8 and overall 44-30. So much for a ruck advantage.
